CBR1000rr or ZX10r
Me and my brother may be considering getting bikes again. I read alot into the comparisons and specs, etc. The CBR seems to be on top of the magazine's must have list. I have a couple friends that swear by the ninjas tho. I know its personal taste, but what would you guys choose? NO, I do NOT want a gsxr...nothing against them, but everyone and their mom's have one. and Ducatti and Aprilia would be great, but way outta budget. thanks

ya, made a decision that will satisfy my own question. One of us will get the CBR and the other the ninja. we can just trade off. I doubt we'll mod besides the blinker delete. sooo ya. thanks for the input.

Prior CBR1000RR owner here. I loved that bike and but decided to sell after witnessing a friends accident. But, you don't want to hear my sob story. CBR hands down.

^^i think everyone who rides or knows ppl who rides has a sad story. I personally have a couple. That's one of the reasons why i put off buying a bike for so long. but, I ride occasionally, and its just a blast. I cant resist it anymore. thanks for the input tho

Lost several fellow riders out of our group, its never easy. I have ridden and raced Honda's for years. Great quality, performance, and reliability. Yamaha R1 would be my second choice. Man kawi's run good but the attention to detail and some quality issues have been around for awhile. Thats just my two cents. By the way i ride a 2006
CBR 1000rr red/black love it, no problems. |

I am now all about safety, and although the ABS debates rage onward, and having had it, I will no longer purchase a motorcycle without it, therefor I would purchase a 2009 CBR1000RR ABS model (great article).

Personally, having ridden the Kawasaki and the CBR, I would prefer the Kawasaki over the CBR, but if it were up to me I would get an R1. I have owned an R6 and ridden an R1. There wasn't a whole lot of difference, but the R1 is a better bike than those two all around. However, if you do wish to stick to those two brands, I like the Kawasaki the best as I found the CBR extremely uncomfortable and fragile across turns. The ZX10R seems a lot more stable and has good power throughout your rpms, while the Honda seems to only have good midrange to me.

ZX12....all the go. And a good handler....If ya want to differnt...a Buell Xb12 i have friend who make custom turbo kits for em out of ole Srt4 turbo's handle like motoGP goes like top 750 GSXR's and nobody including there mother has one.
he has his prototype an Xb12 lightning . Untouchable on a track.. the handling is so good and now that the power is upto to snuff...could still use more.... painted pearl Black....and naked of course....awesome. there is a certian appeal to this Bike....and the power delivery... at a certain point its equal to 190 rwhp Busa....for a second or 2 while hitting full boost in second. can't go wrong with the CBR....don't like AbS...but its like the sycrorev. you lose something by using it all the time. |

I don't know what's with people and their obsession with the R6/R1. Unless you're taking em to the track on a weekly basis, I don't really see why anyone would take the R's over the Cbr, ZX, or the GSXR for street riding. The seats feel like a brick and the riding position isn't all that pleasant either.
Anyways, I've been a Kawi rider and riding both my friends GSXR and Cbr, I'll take the Cbr. Like mentioned previously, the ABS is a nice feature and the overall build quality of the Cbr is unbeatable. GSXR's just seem to have many problems not to mentioned several recalls have been announced lately by Suzuki. |

CBR would be my choice as well. The only real reason I can imagine getting a Kawi is to have that "not a Honda" appeal. I know Kawi's are really popular bikes too, but it feels more unique in my mind. perception is reality blah. But when it comes down to functionality/reliability/and especially spending my own money, I would def end up on the Honda.
But I ride a GSXR so my opinion = |
