Sigh.. Hating on the Z is at an all time high.
By our own forum members, its a mutiny I say! And even with talks of trading for a Mustang, and one even trading his in for a GTI

I'm letting him pamper it for a couple weeks. Next weekend, I'm going to show him what it can do. Looking forward to trying the dual clutch flappy paddle gearbox and magneto dampers.
I think you should race him and hurt his feelings

I think people have to keep in mind that there are people who have some good income but have alot of responsibilities that keep then from getting the car they really want and get what they can afford. And there are those that might not have as many responsibilities and can afford to spend more on a car. Basically 2 different levels. I for one if I didnt have responsibilities I would be able to afford to pay 80K for a car and I would be in one and not in the 370Z so I did have to settle for something less than I would like to have for now. And I do love the car but its not my dream car I will get when the kids are out of my pocket. Some are already at their upper limit on this car and its a great car too.

Now as for the TT RS right now its not planned for the US but that may change soon. Its a super fast car that will be around 65K give or take if it hits the US. Its a couple hundred pounds lighter than the Z and with the 5 cyl turbo, bolt on mods and a tune will smoke some serious ***, were talking 0 60 in 3.5 secs and with the quattro it takes off like a rocket and handles good and the magnetic ride is cool and the DSG shifts like speed lightning. The body isnt as nice looking as the 370Z IMO but it still looks good and is probably meant as a more prepy look. The TT did win the design of the decade or century and it was what started all the other companies going towrds that style of look with the same curvy frame and metal inside looks and all. Id love to have the 370Z body on that frame and engine and insides. And it does really good in MPG too.

But till the kids are gone the Z is the one for me.

I cross shopped the GTI before I got my Z. I loved the Z compared to the GTI, granted it was chipped..But still it's really apples to oranges in that respect. Funny thing is, I remember reading a long thread over on a GTI forum and a majority of the members chose the 370z over their own GTI's as far as performance goes. The only ones who chose the GTI were because they could haul stuff in them.

No doubt the TT-RS will spank the 370z, but how fair is it to really compare in that respect. They aren't really in the same class. I put the Z more into the sti, evo, MS3, up to the 335i and then stretching to the cayman s...But I say stretch for a reason.

its hard to compare any car to another as they are all different in some aspect. TTS 4 cyl turbo Z 6 cyl but both do about the same performance wise stock so there will always be some comparison as there will be with other cars too. Besides its always fun to compareone to another.

Also I was talking TTS in the last post. TT RS not in Z range, TTS is.

TTS 4 cyl turbo
TT RS 5cyl turbo

Nice car and all, but you say that "you have to live with your Z for now" likes it a bad thing :\

The 370 looks 3x as good as that car imo.

If you read my post yes I like the look of the Z better but its not my dream car or the car I will own when its just me and the wife. In my current financial situation the Z is the perfect car for me.

If they are still using quattro the way they were its only 4 wheel when needed and the fwd if not.

The Z doesnt do 1/4 mile in 13.2 stock, alittle slower I think, Plus with the quattro a every day driver can achieve more consistant times than a Z driver with RWD.
