Got a new daily driver...

2010 Sentra SE-R Spec V

I pick it up Tuesday, haven't even driven one before. Anyone out there who has? I was able to find one fully loaded with nav.

Curious as to what others who have owned Sentras think of them.

Thx

We had one in the family years ago...an '04 and it was a fantastic car. I'm sure you'll be pleased with it.

Good to hear. Was yours the SE-R or standard Sentra?

supposed to be great everyday cars.. but I would NEVER buy something without driving it first.. kind of like marrying a woman before you had sex :)

Not really, I drove a base sentra, and could easily enough drive it as a daily driver. There was only 1 of the SE-R spec V in my entire region and they had to dealer trade 2 cars for me to get it. Seems like Nissan doesn't fully load many of the cars they actually sell...

Can I ask how much you paid? I am looking for a daily as well. I am thinking the new Ford Fiesta based on the price and fuel economy. I love driving the Z every day but since I got it people tailgate me and drive along side me more than they did when I had my RSX and it annoys the crap out of me. I saw a few civics for extremely cheap brand new but I would like to get an Altima but I gues the sentra is the next best thing.

I got it out the door for $21650, sticker was like $24025 or there about. I was really sold at Nissan's 0% for 60 months. From what I understand the Spec V is the same motor as the 2.5l altima 200hp.

they are cool rides. great little drivers i prefer it over the civic. looks are nice, engine got good power especially when the car isn't that heavy. the transmission is slick and the the shift points it picks are pretty neat. Great DD as you already got a sick 370Z. have fun with it man.

Thanks, I am strangely looking forward to delivery of the Sentra, even tho I know this will not even come close to the Z. :)

Once I get the Z paid off, I'll probably be getting a Buick Lacrosse. This Sentra doesn't look as bad as I thought it was going to look!

I agree on the "as bad as I thought"... I bought it without test driving since I had to dealer trade 500 miles away just to find one loaded. I almost bought the 3.5 Altima SR loaded but couldn't justify the price for something that will be full of door dings by the public a$$holes that don't respect others property...

I actually have 4 Nissans: 2009 Murano, 2009 370Z, 2010 Sentra, 2010 Versa. I began working at the dealership I bought all 4 cars at (on weekends) 2 weeks ago in import sales... :icon17:

Yeah, theres mad performance parts for the Sentra as well... I just can't justify the need to raise the HP in it... If the GT-R would have been prettier, I may have bought one. The body styling just doesn't do it for me. I love the numbers, but I don't even drive my Z to it's limits very often...

sentra is real afforatable car. I had one long times ago, the regular sentra. good on the gas, no hard time running as a daily drive car. :) congrates on getting a nissan that has spec-V emblem on the back :p

I don't know if I'd call $24k real affordable, but yeah the 200hp engine runs nicely and the car is very smooth at highway speeds. Also not the best on gas in the Spec V model. I averaged 26 mpg on the 1st two tanks. It looks good, has some nice options and is dependable.
