I think the gt is really ugly. The grill in particular.
The dark horse grill is much better. But the rear is still hideous. And the hood for some reason has a weird shape. Not a great looking car. Also doesn't look like much changed mechanically vs the previous gen. They mentioned suspension pickup points. But I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same platform with minor tweaks. I like it. Ya, back end is kinda "busy".
I wonder why Nissan did not have the wisdom to extend the center console aft so that they can get two cupholders. That's 2 points for Ford. The Mustangs center console looks like it's almost in the back seat. LOL 20:00 of video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKUGvhAbKus |

I'm digging the rear end. I think it looks aggressive. The side profile has a nice shape, but, the front I'm kind of torn. Hopefully it's the same weight as the outgoing generation.
I might pick one of these up in the future since I'm leaning towards something with a trunk and back seats. I would get the GT with the performance pack and the manual transmission. The 5.0 is a pretty reliable engine from my experience at Ford.

I think it's quite ridiculous that we now market cars as 2024, while we're still in the middle of 2022.
Regarding the car, I dunno, was never a fan of mustangs. This new one looks 98% identical to the old one, so I don't get the hype. I'd always rather pick the new challenger. |

Ya, but the Z and GT-R have always been considered a special, almost separate tier of Nissan.
Kind of like the Corvette. I don't think you have the balls to diss a Corvette driver in real life by telling them, you just drive a Chevy. |

Ok... If that's what you want to believe. However, back on earth, the Z's 3.7 was used in a lot of Nissan's vehicles (maxima, frontier,...), so really not so special. |

On the inverse, I could take my 370Z to a GT-R meet and I would be warmly received. I'm sure I could even hold my own at an exotic meet: From the above photo, I have the confidence to take my drop dead gorgeous 2020 Passion Red to a exotic meetup of Porsche's, Lambo's and Corvettes. I do not, however, have the balls to take a Maxima or Frontier to the same meetup. So ya, they are different. Last edited by viiv; 09-18-2022 at 08:25 PM. |

Kudos to you then. I gotta be honest and say that I didn't have the balls to bring the Z to just any meeting, since stock it really lacks a few critical features, such as LSD or decent exhaust. I find it very sad that a stock Z out of the box requires these two upgrades just to make it a decent car, but that's just me and my preferences. However funny/childish/silly it may seem, I honestly think that if the Z looks the way it looks (aggresive, sporty and capable as hell), then it should also be able to perform - provide good noise out the back and perform the way it's supposed to. Without an LSD or exhaust, you can't have either of those. Otherwise it reminds me of way too many Mercedes-Benz cars here in Europe with AMG plastics, quad exhausts etc, and under the hood there is a puny 180hp inline-4 engine....
