Bring your check book with you! If you plan on going down the rabbit hole with your Z like so many of us have it will cost you a lot more money, time, and labor. I would agree if you are looking for something more budget friendly purchase than American made vehicle. I made the power a lot easier when I had my 1996 SVT Cobra and 2005 Ford Mustang GT and it was lighter on the wallet lol.

Dude, you are nowhere near the knowledge or funds level you need to be at for this project. Either punt on the idea entirely or put a BP kit on a stock motor. It's still fast as **** but it's removable and you haven't spent an extra $20k that you will never get back.

Just talking about him in another thread. He sold the Z and got a Q60.

OP, go read all of Cupcake's trainwreck of a thread. That's what awaits you if you decide to go forward with this project at your current knowledge level.

Grab a beer or three and settle in for some painful reading.

I actually didn’t know anything about the Random’s other posts. I just thought, from reading his threads on turbo kit selections, injectors, tires, that he ain’t ready on all fronts (no offense). I hesitated posting my thoughts, that they may be too harsh. I didn’t know others have already arrived at the same conclusions.
Let me go see what I missed... Best of luck Random. No fault for dreaming, but make sure you know what you are dreaming about, otherwise it becomes a nightmare quick. Edit: And I don’t frequent the forced induction sub forum so I knew little about cupcakez’s story. I guess that’ll be my next homework, courtesy of Chuck haha. Edit#2: ahhh I see, the “other thread” is cupcakez’s thread and he sold his Z for a Q60, not Random.
