Nissan opinion piece.
7 Reasons Nissan is Failing (and 3 Ways to Turn I…: https://youtu.be/q3_2R5bmFbk
Its basically a video explaining everything that's killing every Nissan model. I agree with just about everything! I loved when he said Nissan needs to take lessons from Hyundai corp. :icon18: With so many hyundai haters here. I was entertained by the comment. :icon17: |

interesting, funny how Carlos Ghosn was able to bring the GTR and 350Z/370Z and also cheapen the company....
I did own a Hyundai Genesis Coupe and it was a funny car, no problems with it... |

Instead of making a new thread I'm leaving this Infiniti video too. The Q60... BEAUTIFUL one of the most uniquely designed cars on the road. Chassis... outdated. Transmission... The biggest fvckin joke in a car over 40k. Interior tech... outdated 2yrs after its release. Q30. Kool. Interior. Nice but needed to differentiate itself from Benz more. Biggest mistake no performance model with at minimum 300hp. Q70 One of the most beautiful luxury cars ever built. Outdated interior after 3 years. Didnt try to make engines more efficient. This car you only had to update externally every 5 years and change its design after 12 or 13. But the interior had to move with the times and it didnt. Changing color palette & wheels every 3 or 4 yrs could've kept it fresh. Nissan is possibly the worst Japanese company after Mitsubishi. When Nisssn said they would partner with Mitsubishi designers to make more efficient cars I knew that would be the nail in the coffin. CARLOS GHOSEN did decent for production cars but destroyed the image of nissan by neglecting the two halos that gave the brand its reputation in the first place. The Z and GTR. |

LOL. Don’t hold back. Tell us how you really feel about Nissan! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
When I saw that YouTube vid about Nissan - it made me realize that the Z and GTR weren’t the ONLY vehicles in their lineup that they wait for 10+ years before changing the design etc. It’s funny that you mention Mitsubishi bc i think they are the only company that has it worse than Nissan - I honestly can’t think of any vehicle that I would drive that they currently make. It’s just sad - and after watching that video - I really do/am wondering ‘Is there going to be another Z’ or is the current gen the last one for a long time bc of all their financial issues?

I'm not a Nissan fan at all. I like the Z and GTR, and that's it. You couldn't pay me to drive anything else they make. F the cvt!!!! |

Honestly I feel about the same when it comes to Chevy and Ford. In particular Chevy - unless we are talking about the Camaro which I respect but won’t ever look to own or the Corvette - there isn’t a Chevy I would want. Fords - I grew up with them so I guess that is why I am biased but other than a Mustang or Raptor - maybe the Focus ST or RS (which they discontinued) there isn’t one I would want either. :( |

My daily is a '17 Maxima that I purchased new and have had zero issues with it. In the extreme winter climate in my neck of the woods, that is quite a feat.

But in the end. Most sub premium brands fall short. Even premium brands. BMW sucks in overall quality. If you're not buying a Benz or Audi, maybe a Lexus. Quality suffers. But if you want performance. You look at bmw Cadillac alfa which all suffer in build quality. Americans are getting jerked hard. But Japan has been in the last 10 yrs what america was up until 7 yrs ago. KOREA is where Japan was and now, Germany is being taken over by Italy. Everything's changing. Sad but true. There was an as article I posted in the Z35 thread about the new Z. The description was underwhelming but... it has potential. It just depends if it was the writer or Nissan is underwhelmed. I'm harsh on nissan Infiniti cuz I know how good they CAN BE. I'm sure when they rolled out the 78 camaro and 79 corvette. I'm sure those enthusiasts felt like me. Then to redesign and make the crossfire engine. :rofl2: After so many years of potent muscle. This is the same thing. Just in a different capacity. |
Hyundai is not toyota, just because they sell it cheaper and give you more value for the money. Just look at the residual

But as for hyundai. They're one of the largest corporations in the world. And their cars arent cheaper anymore. I think you're stuck 5 yrs behind. You get about 10% more standard features at the same cost of Toyota or nissan. Kia will sell at a more competitive price with some sacrifices in quality. Soon enough all this will change, was my point cuz different companies are overtaking segments that belonged to nations in the past. |
Someone mentioned the Maxima earlier in the thread as well as the Frontier - I have to agree - those vehicles are solid. Heck I remember when my friend had a Max over 20+ years ago and we couldn’t believe the way it drove and felt - the power (for that time) felt so great. And the Frontier is like the Z of trucks - why buy new when you can get a solid reliable used one for so much less yet still have about the same feel and drive of a new one.
As for Hyundai and Kia - Hyundai was my first car and to be honest I will NEVER own one again bc that was such a **** show of a car. That is NOT to say I don’t think they are making a comeback and are at least trying to put some cars out for enthusiasts - the Veloster N comes to mind and then the car that is a similar in looks to the S2000 concept that they are trying to release to compete with Porsche - I don’t know - at least they are not standing still like Nissan so I have to give them props for that. |
