Default The Nismo GT-R Delusion.

https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/review...mo-awd-review/

I dont know where Nissan pulls their numbers from?? But you have to be a raging idiot to buy a NISMO GT-R.

Litchfield makes nismo comparable suspensions for about $5,000 installed.

You can get an ALCO or Brembo front brake upgrade for about $4,000

You can buy body bracing for about $3,000

You can buy a base GTR OTD for about $115,000. + 12, 000 in mods.

$127,000

Then the icing on the cake. An accessport COBB tuner for your 600hp $600.

Or you can buy s newsed GTR with a 30k discount and do the same build for 100k.

The NISMO GTR is an insult to the intelligence of the free world.
Anyone buying a $200,000 relic is a moron. But its america, if there is one freedom left in this country? It's the right to be a dumber than rocks consumer driven drone.

OR, you could just buy a beautiful 911 Turbo S or GT2 RS. Problem solved.

For that kind of money, I am not buying a GTR that is a brick on wheels.

They might've done this as a final run hype product that they hope creates some allure down the road. Maybe add the R&D costs in there too. I don't think they expect to sell every last one quickly.

There surely is no practical spending for this, and really the problem is how long the car has existed, and knowing what the base used to cost. With that money, I imagine people would be more inclined to the stereotypical dream cars. Hell, I would still be going after a used 458.

Had this been like the first time we saw an R35, we probably would be like we were in 2007, in awe of how exceptional of a refrigerator this is. Even in 2019, this is impressive. But, we've seen this for far long, that there's higher expectation at this point.

When I drove the 458 on track.... i became a born again believer. The 458 handles, sounds, steers, feels perfect in every sense of the word. The seats are bolted into the chassis for the ultimate connection to the cars chassis.
The C8 has big shoes to fill being the 458 is a benchmark.

I'd buy 3 458's before I buy a GTR at 200k. I haven't driven a nismo version of a GTR... but umm. Still. The ferrari is the embodiment of a true sports car. That's why I was attracted to the Z. Its ferrari like gauges and ergo. The Z places everything perfectly. Just like ferrari.

2015 GTR nismos are down to 105k-120k range already but honestly the 2020 nismo is what they should have been the whole time. idk why it took 5 years to add all the aero and CC brakes that it needed from the start.

also, i'll still be the bad guy and say 200k isnt ridiculous for it. the 911 turbo S kitted out is 200k and thats the competition. same performance and same price.

i will say my next toy is looking like a C8 Z06, Mclaren 570S, or an older F12 Berlinetta. well.....for now. i may change my mind but still i currently like those to add to the stable.

To be honest. Porsche is losing credibility due to them pricing themselves out. They're overpriced by 30k across the board. McLaren is a decent way to go. But if you're spending that kinda money and enjoy that analog yet exotic drive. Take a look at the MB AMG GTR. I think it will surprise you. And it's the Z of the exotic world. Not too many people have them.

I would loooove a C8 z06. But I think that's out of my range right now. Itll have to be a z51 or if they make a grand sport?

Porsche is without a doubt overpriced. every car they produce is overpriced.

love mclaren. great car, looks good, sounds good, price isn't that crazy.

saw my first senna in person a couple months back and i had to sit down and just stare at it for awhile. it's not the prettiest hing but it's art. it's like the mona lisa. bitch is ugly but it still will make you stare for awhile.

i have looked at the AMG GT i love it but end of the day its a benz. mehhhhh.

Actually, Porsche buyers have priced the marque out of reality, not the other way around IMHO.
If you were lucky enough to get an allocation for a 911 GT2 RS in Canada, you paid $335,000 plus whatever a-la-carte options that Porsche could screw you over for. If you wanted to flip that car this summer, the going rate was closer to $600,000. Think of what you could buy for that! A damn nice property with a huge house on it, or a used Porsche. It's still north of $500,000 (Canadian dollars)!!!

Yes, the AMG GTR is a sweet ride. Gets bad reviews for driveability, though. Especially in the wet. Too much torque, not enough traction (or not enough talent behind the wheel). Ironically, the last one I saw had just been traded in at a Porsche dealership.
