I just picked up a 2018 Murano SL a few months ago. Got it with 12,000 miles on it and I love it. Bang for the buck was much better then anything else out there in the class. Time will tell how it stands up, but I'm hoping it will be like the 2005 Sentra I just got rid of. That thing wouldn't die.

Article asks what I would have done to save INFINITI

Infiniti's Ship Is Sinking - If You Were In Charge Of The Luxury Brand What Would You Do To Turn It Around? - AutoSpies Auto News

For one... I would've not killed the skyline name. Instead I would've made the skyline official in the US as an infiniti.

Two... I would've MADE SURE the Q60 car that should be named the skyline... had all the proper performance to be competitive with the Cadillac ats and alfa romeo giulia.

Three. I would have gone to a HP DCT for the skyline.

4. I would have never attempted to make a luxury car with a CVT

5. I would have made a high performance Qx30.

6. I would have evolved the interior of the Q70 3 years ago and it would be getting another evolution now along with the body.

7. I would've made an infiniti lux sport hot hatch for 40k.

8. Push bargain leases on base models.

9. Make sure my car designs cross generations.

10. Not make electric cars my main focus. Focus on the current markets needs.

I think this is the real make-or-break we didn't quite see Infiniti exercise.

It could've either drawn more people to the brand, or make it look cheap(er).

Yet evidently a lot of people bought IS250's and the like.

And with that, I would've shot for a better competitor to the F-Sport line. If memory serves right, the F-Sport really isn't a major jump mechanically. Mainly some suspension and more prominently, looks — inside and out. Casual buyers eat that like cereal, and Lexus played that smart. Aesthetic and face value impressions go a longer way for net sales.

I thought F sports are doing terrible as well?

Maybe I missed the absolute numbers, but at least in California/Bay Area, I a observing see F-Sport Lexus models outnumber recent Q-series Infiniti's. I mean we're talking even 250's and CT's, and then the crossovers — whichever of the UX/RX/etc carry the badge, over any Infiniti QX/FX models.

Actually, it would appear a good share the Q-series cars I see are rentals.
