DDM Shop Evo IX
I am bored and can't sleep so I thought I would post some pics of the Double Down Motorsports Shop Evo IX. She sports a 2.3L stroker motor and GT35R turbo kit, custom valved/sprung BC Racing Coilovers, Mines full Titanium Exhaust, and a host of other goodies.
These photos were taken last week. There should be more coming from the photographer soon... http://www.doubledownmotorsports.com/brentonshoot1.jpg http://www.doubledownmotorsports.com/brentonshoot2.jpg |

Nice looking EVO!! I love White with black wheels... The Time Attacks make it look that much better!!
|
Nice car! Is this one used for any track days as well?
|
Thanks guys!
G in ny - No kit, just APR front lip and canards. Rzoops - I have tracked it in the past and at one point was planning on doing a street class time attack build, but I have my hands full enough with my time attack 350Z. Fielding two cars is too expensive and is a real big hassle getting the cars to and from the track since I don't have a two car trailer. |
Goodness that is one awesome looking evo!
+1 on the volks [: TE37's are my favorites, yay for time attacks! Hopefully I'll get my z on the same level as the evo. |
Thanks :)
I am kinda over the wheels to tell you the truth. There are a few other Evos that look VERY similar to mine. This is how it looked at one point when the original owner had it and I am kinda thinking of going back in that direction... http://www.doubledownmotorsports.com/monaco19in2.jpg Part of me though still likes the idea of time attack wheels and just changing the stripe to white or neon green. |
Have you though about a new look?
Like the Gold TE 37's are pretty damn sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet Damn how much is that baby making anyways? |

As for the power, lol, it broke before we were even done tuning it. It was a tuning issue, not quite sure why it happened, but piton #4 shows signs of serious detonation and now is low on compression. It has been sitting ever since because I am too broke to fix it again lol. I am guessing it should be capable of 600+ on race gas, but I will probably just tune it on the wastegates and pump gas. |
lol I was planning on getting gold volks on my 370.
Those are very nice numbers :stirthepot: I think I like your Z better :driving: |

Yeah... But I'm struck at this moment
Black looks nice too... I guess it's going to come down to the deal I get and the availability... |
nice evo

The Evo is finally getting fixed! After a small motor mishap a year ago the car is finally getting put back to 100% and will be back on the road shortly. My fiance' sold her 350Z and will be taking this Evo over as her new daily driver :).
