DDM Shop Evo IX

I am bored and can't sleep so I thought I would post some pics of the Double Down Motorsports Shop Evo IX. She sports a 2.3L stroker motor and GT35R turbo kit, custom valved/sprung BC Racing Coilovers, Mines full Titanium Exhaust, and a host of other goodies.

These photos were taken last week. There should be more coming from the photographer soon...

Nice looking EVO!! I love White with black wheels... The Time Attacks make it look that much better!!

Ryan@IP 01-13-2009 09:52 AM

Nice car! Is this one used for any track days as well?

M.Bonanni 01-13-2009 10:50 AM

Thanks guys!

G in ny - No kit, just APR front lip and canards.

Rzoops - I have tracked it in the past and at one point was planning on doing a street class time attack build, but I have my hands full enough with my time attack 350Z. Fielding two cars is too expensive and is a real big hassle getting the cars to and from the track since I don't have a two car trailer.

Goodness that is one awesome looking evo!
+1 on the volks [:
TE37's are my favorites, yay for time attacks!
Hopefully I'll get my z on the same level as the evo.

Thanks :)

I am kinda over the wheels to tell you the truth. There are a few other Evos that look VERY similar to mine. This is how it looked at one point when the original owner had it and I am kinda thinking of going back in that direction...

Part of me though still likes the idea of time attack wheels and just changing the stripe to white or neon green.

Not a huge fan of white/gold to be honest.

As for the power, lol, it broke before we were even done tuning it. It was a tuning issue, not quite sure why it happened, but piton #4 shows signs of serious detonation and now is low on compression. It has been sitting ever since because I am too broke to fix it again lol. I am guessing it should be capable of 600+ on race gas, but I will probably just tune it on the wastegates and pump gas.

lol I was planning on getting gold volks on my 370.
Those are very nice numbers :stirthepot:
I think I like your Z better :driving:

Most people will love the white/gold, I just personally never got into gold wheels on anything really.

CrownR426 01-16-2009 10:11 AM

Yeah... But I'm struck at this moment
Black looks nice too...
I guess it's going to come down to the deal I get and the availability...

nice evo

M.Bonanni 02-26-2009 08:24 PM

The Evo is finally getting fixed! After a small motor mishap a year ago the car is finally getting put back to 100% and will be back on the road shortly. My fiance' sold her 350Z and will be taking this Evo over as her new daily driver :).
