[QUOTE=Zoren 370;3827614]Whats the VN?
You get the Cayman S with option sports Exhaust the back fire sound every gear shift or down shift its amazing! But most Porsche purist hated it due to the fact its 4 banger from a previos 6H Attachment 134818 Attachment 134819 Almost bought this one but we couldn’t agree on the shipping cost they wanted me to pay.[/QUOTE VN= Veloster N |
The owner of Precision Garage in Las Vegas bought an R spec for his wife and he is tracking it and loves the car. He has a few videos on YouTube. All he has done is change the exhaust and it is fast out the box. I have been following them in PWC and they kick everyone's butt with the N. They are running the VN in the IMSA Continental series. Yeah Hyundai is for real! You don't build a test facility at the N Ring just for chit and giggles!

Buy Corvette and Porsche their support for racing is impeccable! Nissan??? ...I start to question them now...9 years still no new Z...hmm.. they rather sell Sentras to the market. Money comes first...bad business model for an enthusiast! |

Porsche is an SUV company - more than 50% sales come from Macan/Cayenne. To me, this is a GOOD thing, because it allows them money to build the 911 without just re-badging VW / Audi parts and changing the body panels up. Although I agree it would be nice to see a new Z. But naturally aspirated, with an available manual transmission and at a reasonable price. For the expected sales volumes such a car would generate, it's not very likely. Current Z is still a good alternative in its market. Could use a refresh, and more torque. Maybe a weight-loss diet. But it does look unique and good, and performs pretty much as it says on the tin. |

Who said that statement of yours? As far as I know its you..not me... Porsche is a SUV company? Hmm..:rolleyes: Where you born in the 80’s? Then I understand you. The reason why Nissan dropped the Z project is because the sports car market are for select few or nitch market there is no money into it. Thus 9 going 10 years no new Z! Toyota would not even spend millions of dollars to properly R&D a new supra legendary engine because its not worth the investment and returns is very little or none. What Im saying..the two brands I mentioned the Corvette and Porsche 911 even these cars are not the revenue flagship of the company they still infuse money through thier racing program to keep the small select race car enthusiasts alive. Thus I for one a company that loves a sports car enthusiast and supports racing is a plus in my record books. A company with racing program that is passionate with racing they dont talk about profits they are more concerned about the prestige of winning. Thats all...has nothing to do with your Porsche SUV lol. If you have one. |

But I totally feel your sentiment. |

Even ten years in without an update, I think I'd probably still buy another Z if I were just looking at the value proposition. Hard to beat what it offers at that price vs the competition. And yes, no Z would be so much worse! |
You see even our moderators and AK has abandoned this forum as Nissan has no further plans of keeping the Z heritage alive.
To them they already given us a Z car to enjoy! Who know they might follow Toyota to design a new car and get an engine from Renult! Yayks!! A french bulldog crossed with a sushi salmon! |
