In the VAG car world, APR has their APR Plus tunes which are 91 octane stage 1 carb approved for a lot of vw, Audi and even some Porsche too iirc. Let’s hope with the high volume of z35s that will sell, there is a business case to develop a carb approved stage 1 tune for it. Should be good for about an extra 50-70 hp and torque depending on the quality of the tuner. Btw, these will be bench tunes like are the standard in the vw/Audi world, no custom dyno tuning since obviously that could never meet carb. :driving: |

I am also thinking about getting a nitro yellow supra.
Or just wait it out and see what the new Z is like. |

as a former Supra owner (mkIII TT), i had high hopes for the new sup... i don't care for the looks of it outside, not enough trd, too much bmw. inside is nice, it fit me well, very Z ish. I'm happy with my Z.

Supra sales the last 4 months are trending down quite a bit yoy... I think the shiney new toy honeymoon is over.

Whatever... I'm sure if the sales numbers were stronger, they'd reconsider. Btw, when did you become such a bmwota fanboy? |

If the rumors are true and they make a 6MT version of the Supra and you can have those at MSRP - then I think it will be interesting to cross-shop the Z and the Supra. I feel that you can still score a Supra at MSRP and that the new Z will have ADM on it - making the price point a little closer than if they were both priced at MSRP.
Regardless - the Supra is a beautiful car but I wonder if I would get bored not having a 6MT since I like to row my own gears. |
