6'5 300 lbs.. fit in the camaro. I'm 6 inches and over 100lbs leaner. But good to know it was engineered for all sizes. He takes a tour of the cockpit and I'm really impressed with the uniqueness of the corvette inside the car. Seems well thought out as well. The trunks seem VERY USEABLE...

"All season tires"? Wonder if they'll include a set of snows on steelies if you ask them? LOL

With a proper DCT transmission in this car, there won't be very many nay-sayers after they've driven it. They are just that good nowadays. And that fun to drive. And that engaging. Launch control on the 4C takes over shifting because even with the paddles you'd hit the rev limiter. The C8 is well over a second faster to 60, so I don't frankly see how you could do it any other way. Besides, in a manual it would be a toss-up as to whether you'd blow out the clutch, or your left knee first! :-)

Bigger problem will be those people used to automatics driving a DCT as if it had a torque converter.

Ok so clearing up that NEARLY SOLD OUT article. What they're saying is the first wave of allocations of cars for January are nearly sold out. The public may have to wait till March or so to get a corvette.

But there will be 2020's continually produced to meet demand.

The orders haven't even been put in the system yet. LOL they are just hyping the interest and making people act crazy. Just silly.

... going back to my "lemmings" comment on the last page. LOL

Just goes to show, if someone has the balls and pocketbook to build a great sports (GT) car at an affordable price, there is demand. There will be lots of losers (Supra, among others) as people move into to the C8. Time will tell, if it is worth the hype or not. I hope it is.

The wheels better be made stronger. I just bent 2 wheels on my C7 Grandsport on a small pot hole to the tune of $2200. Not happy about it.

It's easy to get flats on GM rim's and bend them. That is the truth. I wanna get the MRR 1LE wheels but not sure those are replica or OEM. Rather replica.

Back to vettes

They're claiming the e99 ecu is truly uncrackable this time. If they cant crack it? They can clone it. It may cost more to buy a clone but. It would be worth it.

I imagine Chevy just wants their cut. Pay them a license fee to tune it, and they'll be happy to oblige.

I wouldn't be surprised if the big tuners, like HP, already have access.

A good friend of mine is 1st on the list at a dealership where he buys his corvettes. He told me that it should be here in Dec.-Jan. time frame. So I will get a to drive it once he gets it. It should be fun.
