If they kill the Z... this:
|
I don't think it would be in the Z price market. Probably more in line with Supra. Low sixtys, maybe high 50's?
|
Nice ride man. Unfortunately I've never been a huge Alfa fan....

Can't get past the styling. The front looks like a cleft lip.

Honestly, if that’s all that puts you off, I think you’re not giving it much of a chance. But it means someone else will enjoy it instead of you. The new 8C will be the car to get - carbon tub and 8 cylinder with electric boost to the front axle. But it won’t be cheap. Guessing new NSX money. |
I bet it's gunna be pricey lol
|
Whatever happened to the Alfa 6C?
|
That coupe will be sexy as f**k as the 4 door sedan is already the sexiest 4 door sport sedan.
|
I can never get past the front of these cars, just not my taste.

GTv’s of yore have been no slouches, but not supercar class. More of a volume category. Think Camaro if you want a comparison. If Alfa wants to hit its goas of moving 400,000 units a year (was first projected for this year, but in typical Italian fashion now delayed to 2022), it cannot afford to mess around with too many specialty, low volume cars. The 4C was a real gift to autophiles. Baby supercar looks and numbers for a moderate luxury car price, and they probably lost money on every one they moved. But it got the marque noticed after a generation away from these shores and a decade of milquetoast models like MiTo in the rest of the world. Unfortunately, that kind of treat is few and far between - bad news for future buyers but something very special to those who have one. I know of a few 370Z owners here who have taken the plunge or are looking to do so. Expect the upcoming lineup to be market-priced. |

I think this over the Z any day... any way.
I drove a Giulia and it was the best driving experience I had from ANY modern sedan or coupe under $80k Internet rhetoric kinda panicked me from buying one. But if Alfa proves reliable? It will be my next car. Hands down. My main issue with the Giulia... brake by wire... why? |

The GTV will be nice, but I'm not gonna be looking for a 4-seat coupe to replace my Z when the time comes. I'll want another 2-seater, maybe even a convertible. And I'm certainly not gonna be in the market for an automatic, which means the only car in this class I'd ever consider would be an M4.
I honestly don't know what could possibly replace a Z for me for what I want. There just aren't many manual 2-seaters out there anymore. I see way too many Corvettes that wouldn't want one. The new 718s have Subaru motors, and I'm not spending $80k+ for a 4 cylinder. And the F-Type V6 manual is no quicker than a stock Z for almost $90k. No thanks. The new Supra, like all Toyotas, will be a joke of car. And its Z4 brother, which I had high hopes for, is now rumored to be automatic only as well. Alfa should have blessed the 4C with a manual. I might have gotten over the fact that it was only a 4 cylinder with those looks and at just under $60k. As it stands, it's looking like I'm just gonna run my Nismo to the ground lol. The only thing I can think of is maybe an Evora 400 that's been sitting on the lot for a while at a discount. |

So why do you need to replace the best car ever made?

The V 8 cars have the best exhaust note I have ever heard.F1 transmission one of the best to drive but fails early. I like the looks of the Alfa Romeo 4c spider.Roadster guy.Under powered but looks great. Alfa,Maserati and Ferrari are not reliable cars.Dealers are worse than anything you have seen.Parts are insane prices. You have to pay subscription fee to access service manual. I could go on for hours on this. Sounds crazy but I do like Italian cars. If you buy an Alfa sell when warranty is up. If you buy and keep you will need deep pockets. Pictures of my Spider.Requires a lot of Maintenance. |
