My new Z.....
So traded in my grand sport for this new girl. So far the power is insane. Going to take me a while before I feel comfortable with it. Still have my 300zx and 280z. Still hoping one day Nissan will get their **** together and give us an updated and competitive new Z. For now I'll drive this Z..... O6

Congrats. That's my color preference too if I were to get one and I'd kill that wheel gap as my first move.

Thanks everyone. Been enjoying so far. Yes the wheel gap is getting fixed this weekend. Going to lower it on stock bolts. Also ordered splash guards to protect from rock chips which will go on at the same time.

Honestly I'm not sure yet. It's stupid fast and even though I haven't taken it above 3k rpm for break in period I can tell already it has traction issues due to power. I initially went in to order a ZL1 as I couldn't find any around here built the way I wanted it but they had this Z06 sitting there. I made a ridiculous offer and they took it. I've already told myself that if in 6 months it's proves too much car for me then I'll get the ZL1 like I initially stated. I got the car at such a steal that I'll barely lose any money doing so. And yes I know the ZL1 has the same motor but it seems more planted and stable. Maybe it's the extra 200lbs, I don't know. My ex who is still my friend bought her krypton ZL1 earlier this year so I've got to enjoy it quite a bit.
One thing I can say is that the suspension upgrade is amazing. Places on the street that used to upset the balance of my C6 grand sport are not even noticed with the C7. It just soaks up the road without issues. There are certain turns onto freeway onramps or streets that I would have to take slower than usual because as I accelerated out of it the car would want to go sideways due to dips and bends in the asphalt. But with the C7 you don't feel it and the car stays glued.

Take it to the track just once. You'll never get rid of it after that! ;-)
(unless, of course, you get greedy coming out of a corner, and wad it up). Definitely a light car for the power, and with front engine balance it must take some getting used to. Hence, all the YouTube testimonials to stupid. But I've also seen them driven well, and in those cases they are really amazing cars for the price. Unlike Corvettes of old, this one CAN corner with the best of them, and once the car gets a chance to stretch its legs, they just keep going and going. Cooling (and brake cooling) were the only issues that I could recall, but that was after some pretty heavy (ab)use. |

The rebates/incentives on the C7's are crazy right now.
I'm not quite ready to buy but used prices are about the same as New......I'll be watching to see the effect on Market value in the next couple years. The exterior design is freaking awesome! Congrats |

if the Mid engine takes the C8 to $100K territory.....I'd be happy with a C7 Grand Sport which can be had NEW at $54ish right now.
you know you are getting old when $hit starts seeming just too damn expensive. |
