I was really hoping this thread wouldn't go there as I was enjoying the constructive & mature arguments.. Ah well..

Fact: Two of my friends totalled their Stangs due to losing control last year..

Here's one of them:

He's invested quite a lot in it but unfortunately none of his mods were insured.. mods include (mufflers, intakes, delete plates, coilovers and an ECU reflash)

Thank God nothing happened to him.. he was doing around 70-80 coming from a tunnel to a traffic light and was surprised by a car doing like 10 in front of him, switched lanes too quick and what do you know

Hey Sam, quick question for you, did you recently "race" a 2010 Mustang over there?

Do you honestly think an IRS would have saved them?

One of my co-workers mentioned someone in Duabi who has a 2010 was running a "new" G37S, I knew you were there so just checking if it was you. On a side note, the G one because apparently the Mustang was brand new and he did not push it very hard.

Not necessarily the IRS, but I'm saying improved handling (suspension) in general. The one in the pic I'm pretty definite. I was once doing around 90 on the highway (still under speed limit btw) and a cat jumped in front of me out of nowhere, steered away so fast the tail went loose a little but was held easily (could've been the LSD, could've been traction control.. but doesn't the stang come with all those goodies too?)

I believe they said the G had exhaust/intake/etc.
Not sure on any other info, just wanted to check to see if you had been messing with any 2010 Mustangs.

Both situations, you're talking about going a RIDICULOUS speed on public roads though...90 for you, 70-80 for the other guy. No, 70-80 isn't necessarily terrible, but performing a maneuver like the one he did is stupid. Either way, it sounds like driver error to me, and just general stupidity - particularly on your buddies part. Traveling that kind of speed without any idea whats in front of you (ESPECIALLY in the damned middle east - drivers over there are freaking retarded. Ask me how I know.) is just ASKING for trouble.

Furthermore, I think its worthy saying - if you try to steer your car like that at the speeds you were going because of nothing more than a cat? Well...you're asking for trouble, too, and I'd never trust myself to drive in a vehicle with you.

We were both driving under the speed limit ridiculous or not, that's besides the point anyways. I'm just pointing out how both cars reacted to sudden and quick lane change not asking for a moral lecture.

Saying Middle Eastern Drivers are retarded though, well I wouldn't wanna go there. I've been to the US and seen how the average Joe drives, and I've seen how US drivers drive in Dubai but will keep comments to myself in attempt to keep this thread on topic and not offend anyone on here lol

It goes the same way on the Mustang boards... Only a handful of guys there are willing to recognize the capabilities of the 370.

The car guys here appreciate just about every car and know that the Mustang is a formidable track and strip car. The 2010 GT with Track Pack (i.e. Sport Package) is a formidable base for a track car -- .94 G on relatively skinny tires, 70 mph slalom... it's a very good car. Obviously it's not as track oriented as the smaller, 2-seat 370, but in the right hands I am absolutely positive a 2010 GT could school some bench racing, trash talking 370 driver on any track.

I'm sure the more technically oriented guys here will agree that this board has its share of bench racers and trash talkers who couldn't drive a 6MT to a 14 second quarter mile time if their lives depended on it.

You obviously don't see the reason for keeping it so it's probably not worth explaining it to you, but against better judgment I will make an attempt anyways:

The majority of Mustang enthusiasts like to drag race their cars.

It's that simple. If enthusiast owners predominately preferred to track their cars, it would have an IRS.

+1 rep for good posts.
