I agree somewhat. Yeah it was kinda meant for daily driving also.....but damn that rear end kills it!!!

I don't like how they angled the corners in on the new ones. It's just weird.

The Camaro was on a consistent sales decline, sadly, for the final run of the 4th gens. The Mustangs have almost always had solidly selling V6 versions.

One of the reasons for the great success of the Mustang is this right here.

It was never quite as edgy as the Camaro/Firebird... especially in the 90s and early 2000s. But it appealed to more people than the F-bodies so that's why they died in '03 and the Mustang kept going.

Now that the Camaro is back we will see how it all shakes out.

To be honest with ya....I would take a 00 style TA/Camaro SS over the 06 style Stang.

I almost bought a black 2002 Trans-Am WS6 a few years ago. They look so tacky and badass at the same time. :icon18:

00 WS6 here I was close to...gotta LOVE that Ram Air hood :D

I think their front end looks NASTY but their rear end could use some work. Kinda looks like a Grand Prix LOL. T-tops ftw tho!

The only downside of LRA... bumpy roads can be a little sketchy.

Although the Z isn't exactly smooth on bumpy surfaces so that just goes to show you that IRS alone won't guarantee a performance improvement. I know the Cayman beats the Z hands down in the rough-road handling / confidence inspiring department. :icon18:

When I had my Mustang my *** used to tighten up when I saw a T/A in my rear view. Had it happen in the Z, too. Cammed T/A pulled up on my *** and it felt just like the old days.

The Z didn't stand a chance! :icon18:

The price difference from what I have read won't be too bad compared to the 2010 gt. So does this mean the 2011 stang will come in 3 trims? I kinda hope this thing sells well looking forward to having more competion out there!

Trust me, I know. I hate brand-whores like nothing else.

Really, I am just out to defend the truth like most everyone else in this thread that can recognize a good car when they see it.

Agreed.

Put simply, the Mustang is NOT a sports car. The Mustang is a muscle car or sports coupe, however you want to phrase it. The Z is a sports car. They just don't compare.

I don't care if they have roughly the same power and are about as fast as one another... they aren't in the same class.

Completely agreed.
