AMG Project One
 

Well, Mercedes finally has their hypercar and I think it looks wicked! Looks like a modern version of their late 90's GT1 series CLK GTR. 0-124mph less than 6 seconds :eek:

A completely different animal. The latest F1 technology vs GT1-LM tech.

Mercedes certainly raised the bar here. I doubt any other company will match this level of tech...ever. Ferrari wouldn't dare try this, BMW is not even involved in F1, and Renault or Honda doesn't have the same financial status as Mercedes to do this.

I wonder how it will stack up to the current hyper cars on the market. Laferrari, 918, P1, Regera?, AM Vulcan.

The head to head to come is this vs the AM Valkyrie. I wonder if Ferrari will attempt something like this. I doubt it.

It's a tacky hideous looking car.

Halo cars are awesome. This example is a statement to all manufacturers who's the boss. Wish they had more info on the drivetrain, braking, and suspension. Oh hopefully they do something about that ugly and huge front intakes. Those openings are hideous.

I know you can have your own opinion, but if you think he project one is hideous or ugly you seriously need to get your eyes checked:icon18: In my opinion this is the most strikingly most attractive hypercar. Makes the LaFerrari look like a cheap kit car. Those front intakes are menacing, everything flows well,just looking at it looks like it will eat anything in its path. I think Mercedes AMG did a fantastic job.

disagree with me all you want that front opening is butt ugly. the rest I have no issues with. I wouldn't be surprised if they change things slightly up front when production models come out in 18 mos.

I know I will never own a hypercar, unless a hit some lottery. But you cant tell me this video of the AMG project one does not get you excited.
