2018 camry. Toyota begged not to be called BORING!!
deadspin-quote-carrot-aligned-w-bgr-2
Is it me or have Camry's been getting a sheetmetal redesign every 2 years since 2008? |
Maybe not as boring as previously but it still looks like every other late model car on the road
|
Toyota's have been BORING behind the wheel a long time now. Like 20 years...
|
Doesn't bode well for the new Supra....sigh
|
For now the new SUPRA is like Bigfoot. Many people say they've seen it, that it's out there somewhere, but there is no proof of its existence.
|
If the Supra does come out? It's combination of Z4 power and handling vs Toyota's chassis engineering and knowledge from direct works with lotus and it's reputation from two decades ago.... The Supra might just be something special? We'll have to wait and see?
|
Boring but very reliable. Actually the newer Camrys look pretty good as they have benefited from their entry in NASCAR. Oh, and Toyota stock cars win races so it looks like we just have a lot of fanboyism going on.
Unlike Nissan, Toyota and BMW have test Supra(FT-1)/Z4(Z5) mules running around. This is a real car, real photo: 2019 Toyota Supra Spy Photos – News – Car and Driver |

Worst part about low end Toyota's? Besides being boring, they just don't die.
I have a fleet of close to 100 vehicles at work. Many Echo/Yaris/Corolla examples in it, and 500,000km is the norm. With very little effort, even in salt-strewn Canadian roads. What's so bad about that, you ask? Well, it's a life sentence if you buy one. LOL |

It looks like a stupid lexus, and lexus already looks retarded
|
Looks are subjective, some will drool all over it and others will cringe. Lexus does build some nice cars, fit & finish and quality are excellent. Their customer service is exceptional. From my personal experience, it's something the German auto companies are lacking in.

If you want a real experience, try Italian next time dude! ;-) Honestly, Alfa still cannot tell you when your car will arrive, until it's on the manifest that the truck driver hands the receiver when he pulls up to the dealership! They've only been in business for 107 years. BMW, Merc, Audi and Porsche can all tell you exactly what nut is being installed at any given time, and you will likely be able to set your watch to the delivery schedule. And that's just a small example. The attitude is "we make-a you-a car. What else you-a want-a? Now go F-off!" If they didn't build amazing cars (and bikes, and guns), I don't think anyone would ever do business in Italy! But yes, Lexus from the start made customer service a high priority. When they launched, they would drive a loaner to you and pick up your car for routine service! Not so much these days, though. And quality has also suffered. They still make some pretty cars, but nothing that really stirs the soul. |
Yup 'Italian machina' and 'customer service' are two words that are not to be used together in a superlative sentence. Usually one contradicts the other in numerous ways.:roflpuke2:
