Just like I said, the new world order is preventing the Z from coming out as an affordable sports car. They want us as passengers in drone vehicles by 2030 and are on a 12 year campaign to keep us from driving. Period. They don't want poor and middle class to drive around virtually undetected.

Sports cars will be for the rich. We need go start a car rebellion guys.!!!

The government is trying to control our joys.

ITS EQUILIBRIUM in real life!!

Your cell phone already does it....it knows where you are and at any time it can be queried by the carrier to find you. And you will never know it......

Are you kidding me...you can buy a 3 year old Z for what about 25 to 30k. Already you are ahead 15k+. 996 is a 13+ year old car, that is 10years older with more problems. Plus you are comparing Japanese engineering versus German. Reliability of a German car would be in question even if only 3 years old...10 years old with allot of miles? Your talking about a money pit of problems. Everyone likes euro cars until they own one and recognize the cost of ownership associated with multiple breakdowns, parts and after market parts. Plus like I mentioned earlier typically it is impossible to find tech manuals for German cars. So you will be relying on mechanics instead of yourself...that is a major problem on its own....
The 996 TT Metzer motor is derived from the LeMans winning race motor....its pretty bullet proof and so is the rest of the 996TT. You can join forums like Rennlist, Planet9, and get any German shop manual you want and they are not hard to work on either. Its pretty easy to drop the whole motor and tranny to get at anything you want, if it needs a major service. I agree that some Audi, BMW, and Porsche models have issues....but the 996TT, not really.

I find myself considering a sport Z or nismo as well. The only other cars on my radar are 981 Porsche cayman S (base is cool but need the extra power) 2014-2016 or Shelby GT350. It's hard to pony up the extra money for those cars when the Z is such a compelling choice.

If Nissan would just release some concept photos and specs for the next Z it might make my choice that much easier.

Yeah but you don't have to carry a cell and you can scramble your GPS signal on a cell or car if you need to. But I'm sure with these new electronic cars you won't be able to scramble them steadily as current tech.

If you have a car with something like On-Star from GM. They have you. They can listen to you talk in your car through On-Star, know where you are at, track you down, shut the car off going the the highway, know how much you weight from the suspension settings.

Yeah, I get that, but not every car is equipped like that yet and I'd like the option not to buy one and you can still pull on star from a car. Pretty soon it will be impossible.

You don't need On-Star, 'they' have you pinned as soon as you bring your smartphone with you. It's BIG BROTHER watching & listening to you all of the time.

GPS jammers are very illegal, I sort of know about such things. Don't get caught with it and DHS can find them if deemed necessary.

As far as I am aware, it is illegal to have electronic surveillance on a private citizen without a warrant from a judge.

:iagree:
Nixin hit it on the nose. Laws like the patriot created an UNCONSTITUTIONAL bylaw to allow surveillance but was counteracted with the Freedom act once the SC determined the patriot act violated our rights. In reality, all these red light cameras, security cameras and GPS based systems that have the capability of pin pointing us violates several parts of our bill of rights.

Any differences in the brakes on the Nismo?

I know there is re-tuned suspension but is there different hardware?
