Default Any other Jeepers/Offroaders on here?

my roots are in jeeps and coming here at first seemed quite different but its really all the same. both parties love their vehicle and love working on them to make them perform better (despite im trying to go slow and you all fast)

anyways i was just wondering if there were any others on here like me.

ive got a 1999 jeep wrangler sahara thats been worked on quite a bit by me and my friends. currently its got a 3" suspension lift, 1.25" body lift, 1" motor mount lift, 30 spline chromo axles shafts, front and rear lockers, 4.11 gears, 35" tires, home brew paint job, tube fenders, custom rock sliders, quick disconnect sway bar in the front, my rear sway bar was stolen , intake and exhaust work for some badass sound from a 4.0l. i think thats about it for the important stuff

not the most recent pic

What about Hummers?

One of my close friend had a sweet 94 H1 and I tagged along with him for a couple offroading events. Fun experience overall, especially seeing him pull out stranded Wranglers and FJ Cruisers with his H1.

i think someones trying to stir the pot

i honestly dont care what you wheel. if you wanna wheel im good to go.

however i personally have never seen a hummer on the trails and depending on the trail they could do very well or very poorly just like any other vehicle. id say the only real down fall of a hummer is its size (the H3 isnt to bad though) and that it has IFS. also the H2s with the inline 5 seem to lack some power too because of the size but that can be over come by the gearing

alot of the trails here are very narrow and i have to take my mirrors off (assuming i didnt take the entire door off) and have received many dents dings and scrapes because of it. i dont think a hummer or even a full sized jeep would do to well.

the same goes with the FJs. i have nothing against them and on the right trails they will do very well. ive wheeled with the local land rover club here in town and most of the guys consider the ranch roads the trails but there are a few that actually hit the trails and do very well.

i know that everyone thinks the jeep community hates hummers but they really dont. atleast not any of the real jeepers/wheelers. its just some good ol ribbin.

I used to, I dont' have my ZJ anymore:

My dad has a 91 wrangler with a 3" lift in mossy oak. Gonna be junking it soon I think. Engine is crap, frame/body is rotting. Not safe for wheeling anymore. I used to take my ZJ everwhere the wrangler would go and then some. That thing was a beast. I miss it.

i had a 98 tj, my first vehicle that i bought brand new. chili pepper red
i luv the thing but found out quick that it was not practical for my situation. hauling motorcycles and a big asss dog. i missed the jeep and at the time couldn't afford to have 2 car notes. i remember running the powerlines on our old farm, that thing would go ANYWHERE!!!!
