2018 Honda s2000 320hp turbo
Looks like things are heating up as Honda will show the 2nd gen s2k concept at the September LA auto show. At 320hp with turbos this thing looks promising if it can retain or even weigh less than its original.

Crossing my fingers that they reveal it in September. Ive been lightweight thinking about getting back into an S2k, even if they release a new one in a couple years the older ones will always command that respect like the older NSX's.

Ive never understood the popularity of this car. I know honda makes some of the best motors on the planet but this thing is ugly as sin. Sorry not trying to hurt any feelings I've just never been a fan of this car. I've seen some heavily modded versions that look mean as hell but stock they're in the same category, in my mind, as a miata (aesthetically speaking )

The cars in that post look like they are ten years old, not modern in the least in terms of styling. Rather benign. And that turbo four doesn't jive with my impressions of the original S2K. They take a platform and rebirth it without any of the potential it should have.

C&D is the ONLY mainstream magazine with the rumor mill credentials of a 12 year old lying drunk kid.

coming from an s2k to my nismo 370z, I can say that I would trade this car in on day 1 for a new s2k. The s2k was hands down the BEST handling car I've ever driven, even before the suspension mods. Far less body roll, More comfortable seating position, better visibility and for whatever reason, it was easier getting out of my s2k with the cusco cage than my z.

This is good news and I can't wait to see the next S2K. I was a fan of the first generation car, and would've been an S2K driver had I not been a huge Z car fanboy. The interior was too cramped for my taste, but it was certainly a blast to drive. I'm actually more excited about the new S2K than the next Supra.

ive never understood the popularity of torque converter based AT on a sports car. Sorry not trying to hurt any feelings I've just never been a fan of torque converters on any car especially sports cars. I've seen some heavily modded versions that look mean as hell but with AT they're in the same category, in my mind, boring as a corolla (dynamically speaking )
