I posted in the $60k for a Z35 thread regarding the Z and recent NAIAS news.
Kia is crushing it, and they're nowhere near the money machine Nissan is. We're down to a philosophy discrepancy here, not a business one. Nissan could afford to use the Z, like the GT-R, as a sellable marketing tool. They would rather not. The only people that can get things moving in the product planning department in that company are those that can speak crossover. Think about it - two of Nissan's "newest" SUVs/CUVs are ones that have been sold in Europe for the last five years before their debut in the states. Hardly innovative. Marginally competitive (Armada). I would rather see someone like Kia eat Nissan's sports car lunch at this point. Can't wait to see the Head 2 Head with the Stinger stomping the vagisil out of a Maxima on a track. |
