I still can't get the stigma of early crappy KIa/Hyunday cars and now trying to lift themselves to Lexus levels. Ian B

If you mean catch up to them, perhaps not. But don’t rule that out, either. they are definitely driving the same line that Toyota, Honda, Mazda, and Datsun did, only those marques had a 30 year head start. Just like these Japanese makes did, the Korean twins have done a lot to put their earlier days of “low price, questonable quality” behind them. And based on the strategy they have adopted, I’d say they are closing the gap while the Nippon crowd sits on their laurels. |

I didnt think anyone really gave much of a crap about Toyota anyway lmao....same with any of the other Japanese manufacturers. I give the twins their credit and Hyundai/Kia has come quite a way. Especially in the aspects of making solid cars at fair prices. I'd take a new Stinger over the Maxima any day of the week. Or pretty much any other sedan in a similar class/pricing/statistics etcetera

I've never heard anyone get excited about a Prius lmao...but in all actuality there are a few decent rides that were semi overlooked...especially those turbo Mazda models. But toyota, Honda, Mitsu haven't really produced much to write home about in recent offerings. We have to get out of the stigma that Hyundai/Kia vehicles are complete crap and stop praising these car manufaturers that created something awesome in 1995....

Another champion literary.... This is the idiocy of America's 2 party politics at work in daily life.

I will applaud the Kia for outperforming many current coupes on paper... that said it's still not a comparison. It just shows it's time for some companies to step up their power or handling game with certain halos such as the 86 for power and the Q60 for handling. For their price points they lag. But they still aren't direct competitors to Kia... yet? smh.... its fvckin amazing how people read what they wanna read.

That's what I didn't get..the post clearly states comletition with other similar cars. You called out the Maxima by name. I think people overlooked what the comparison was about. Lol....I just don't vet all the hate. The Stinger is a solid car for what it is and if I was in the market I would consider one in a heartbeat.

NOPE... not possible. Cuz when you think Nissan. You don't think GTR or maxima or TITAN. or Murano... Nope there's only the Z to compare a 4 door sedan to. Kia makes ONE GOOD car n you see the brand whores GO FULL RETARD. Nissan has done so lil to update their product line for any performance competitive vehicle for so long. There's that G70/Stinger/Veloster envy. There's nothing left right now than to chop down the achievements of a young company I n giving the public another OPTION quicker than any other company has in history. The Z is legendary by name. So is the GTR. BUT HERES THE TRUTH. The Z hasn't been updated enough to have a decent thread on here about the Z since the 2015 Nismo refresh. The Maxima has been updated. Which means It CAN BEcompared to the STINGER. The Z is not worth mentioning. Not just cuz they don't compete car to car. The Z is technologically so far behind most basic transportation. It's better than the BRZ N can compete against a v61LE camaro in a driver's race.. That's Nissan's place in the world right now. Porsche outpaced the Cayman. No longer a comparison. They not touching comparable v8 muscle cars in the price point. It's not worth comparing to anything at the moment. It's too outdated... Thank God the Z still looks n drives amazing. Thank God it's backed by tales of grandeur from the 70's to the 90's... Otherwise, today... Right now. ... What u really got to talk about in 2018? Nutn. It still an amazing car despite its dinosaur status. Ok. Now what? This is THE OTHER VEHICLES SECTION. Get over the fact other car companies are doing big things The GTR is heavier fatter slower and less performance oriented in 2018 than between 2008 / 2016. The GTR is a timeless design in one aspect. But needs to lean toward sport more but Nissan of course focused on nicer interior and a plush ride. Then jacked up the Nismo GTR $25K Cuz they added $7000 in parts. The value perspective has been narrowed n u still can't get android auto n apple car play like the rest of the enthusiast market. I'm not hating on nissan cuz I hope for a competitive Z. But Nissan can't put anything viable thru the rumor mill to care about a new Z right now. Until they do. Thank you Hyundai for NOT falling into the SNOOZERY of Nissan Mitsubishi n even Toyota. Though Toyota makes enthusiast cars now. The premium for them is laughable. Which will probably be true of the Z4UPRA. If the stinger was a Nissan Maxima? There'd be a lot of dyck suckin & praise that Nissan finally made the Maxima what it should've been in the 21st century. But. KIA/Hyundai did it. So you cats are aggy.n wanna CLAIM. Me the OP is comparing a 2 seat dedicated sports car to a sedan to appease your anger for Nissan not doing what they should. Compared to the STINGER. The Q50 chassis lacks as an enthusiast car. The Q50 transmission is a joke by comparison. N price to price. A stinger compares to a Q50 sport though it's red sport fast on the price point ouch. Ok... Get over it. Rant over.

I've seen 2 Stinger out in the wild now and it really is a nice car..I just don't get all the negativity. If it isn't for you, fine...but you have to give Hyundai some credit. It went from the Pony to this. Does it make them the first and foremost automaker on the planet? Nope. However it really shows over time how they've continued building their brand. Remember when you couldn't beat that Hyundai assurance warranty, it forced other manufacturers to do the same or at least something similar. It's the incentives and the refreshing take on certain vehicles that has boosted them into a mid tier sedan/compact maker. The Genesis coupe is one of the nicest looking cars on the road still and it's quite a few thousand less than certain cars of a similar type. At one point the 350z was still booking at 11 while you could a NEW Genny coupe for a bit more. I don't know man...

Not sure if you heard it. There is an issue with yellow Stingers. Kia offered to repaint, rental, and compensation to those who experienced peeling, chipping and cracking. Would Nissan have done the same?

Like Kia or not but that's a real stand-up offering. Paint has an issue...you make it right. An inconvenience yes but still the right thing to do. I wish Nissan did that with the 370 paint lol...that crap chips from a hard rain hahahahah
