A 2016 Kia optima ex with 26,000 miles is 18k
A turbo ex is valued much more than a SL

A 2016 Nissan Altima SL with 30,000 miles is $14k
A 3.5 sl is about $16k

Where u get all these statistics u talking...
If you state it... prove it otherwise u talking trash

You linked two cars in different states that are 500+ miles apart. The Altima has 11k miles more than the Optima, for sale at a po-dunk dealer, on the market for 200+ days and was a rental. Good job

Might want to work on your "statistics"

I don't understand why everyone here is so touchy.

In case you haven't noticed, it's a worldwide phenomenon and epidemic in our species.

I don't think it's your fault. :)

That’s why I did not respond to the person who quoted me. Life is too short to waste arguing in a forum.

Imagine being able to go back in time today and sit down with Einstein, DaVinci, or Ben Franklin, and explain: “I hold in my hand a device that can put me in contact with 2/3 of the population of the planet, and which gives me instantaneous access to the entire compendium of knowledge of all mankind from the dawn of history to a few seconds ago. I use it to look at cute cat videos and get into arguments with people I don’t know.”

Peace.

Zoren 370 06-24-2018 10:17 AM

Any more :drama: around?

Kia has improved a lot in terms of performance and quality.
But would I buy one for 50K? Certainly not.
Most people are brand conscious specially with cars.

My chance of picking up a girl is higher with my Z than with the Kia stinger!
So in my books my Z still wins!

Case dismissed? Lol

But thank you for a nice review on the Stinger.
Though I’ll stick with my muscle car and Z.

If your pick up skills are based off the car you drive? Then my man.... you need help. Lol. U know something though.... I'm just being honest here. Most chics in Texas didn't really go gaga over my Z. It was other dudes. When I got the camaro. I get women asking me if it's a SS allll the time. N then strike a convo with me.
Here women love common *** pickups n muscle cars.

With the Z. Girls would say. "I love your car but it's too small U can't fit anything in there." But.... the moral of the story is.... When I bag chics in malls or bars. They have no idea what I drive. Rely on your skills, not the whip. Lol :rofl2:

First off. I used my region cuz all cars of the region cost the same. Second. I used 2 cars that are selling with the same specs. I gave you average costs in writing between the vast models over a whole region. Then I showed u two co.parable cars.

One is CPO so there a $1,200 discrepency on that.
Mileage, 9,000 miles difference on 2016 is inevitably 1,000, so since the region sells the same and both these cars are same specd for their brand. They are valued about the same.

I can go digging in the internet on lower trim models that would be easier. But Mississippi is 400 miles from here not over 500. N it's part of our networking region.

Here's the low end models same area if it makes u happy. I chose loaded cuz they are a truer estimate of depreciation. There's more wiggle room on base vehicles.

As you can see the k ia is selling slowly but the Altima is new on the lot. That's the $1000 discrepency. On average if you look. Loaded Kia optima's selling about $2grand higher than Altima n base cars about the same.

Brand perception is part of the same formula why people are classiest and racist. They have to put a shallow mark on a person or product or whatever. People won't test drive a car. They just say, it's a Kia, it's gotta suck. N stick by their guns with no proof except 15 year old statistics n he said, she said stories.

People are online not experiencing life but giving an opinion on everything they DON'T DO...

INFUCKINCREDIBLE

Totally agree. :tup:I even drive a Camry yet I get lucky few times.
I’ll buy a Kia Sorento as a family car. But a Kia for a sports Sedan at 50K? I’ll still get the Infinity or Lexus instead. Sorry I must admit Im a brand person.

Honestly Would you trade your Camaro with the Stinger?

Naw dude.... I wouldn't. But who would trade a coupe for a sedan in any sports car scenario? As good as these sedans are. They don't have the same feel as coupes n roadsters.

Just because I won't buy a Kia Stinger doesn't NOT make it a GREAT CAR. I've DRIVEN it.... it's really a nice ride...

That said... if I was in the market for a sedan, without having to trade my coupe. I'd consider a Kia. I'd consider the G70 even more. But like I said. The car I think is THE BEST performer the Giulia and my first choice.

I'm just not so brand loyal that I can't say when a car company does a spectacular job. The optima, k900, and stinger are nice cars. Really well made cars. I really think for the money. A stinger is a great value, once you experience using it's features and driving it.

The Kia is not the only car I like NOR my first choice. Still doesn't stop it from being amazing.

And it being a sedan. I don't see why a few feel so threatened by it to compare it to a 370z. They have different philosophies of use...

Zingston 06-25-2018 02:45 PM

I've tested a Stinger with the v6 (went with a family member that was looking at it)... OMG, what a car! I'd totally consider one if I were in the market for a sedan. I couldn't care less about brand name. You have to drive it to believe it.

Firebase99 06-25-2018 09:21 PM

Ive driven my bosses K900 many times, thing is flipping AMAZING period. Even more amazing given the price point.

UNKNOWN_370 06-26-2018 10:57 AM

Editing to state that... this statement is not an argument. It's just a view on how to choose the right cars for u. I gotta be clear on a kia thread. Where hostility reigns.

If the name on the car is why you choose a car? You are already losing.

Car value and depreciation only mean something to people who lease or buy a new car every 3 years. If you are keeping your car a whole car generation? Buy what you like and enjoy.

I bought my Acura tlx cuz 38% of the depreciation was eaten. And when I sell it in two years. I would only lose 12% of the depreciation. I really don't like acura's but I was able to figure out this math. The car is for business purposes. So I got what can play the role of business car and grocery getter.

If you think you'll keep your Stinger for 6 years or the duration of America's greatest warranty? Buy one.

That's my recommendation on the Kia.
