These Alfa's for me are a dream come true. Reliability in a bland looking overrated BMW would bother me much more. Ferrari engine and Ferrari tuned suspension on the quadrifoglio.

It was the weight to power ratio and the lack of power steering. It was safer to make a DCT only. If it would have been made as a manual with the experience of drivers today, it would have had to been cut by 50HP and add power steering. This was the purest n most logical safe combination.

IMO the M4 looks so much better than the Alfa, but then again I have no desire to own a BMW ever either. Unless you are very well off, I think you are crazy for entertaining the idea of buying an Alfa Romeo. |

And again you're SPECULATING that a completely brand new platform is unreliable. Plenty of unreliable brands have had reliable models in the range. A lot of research and engineering went into this car. There are plenty of people that would never buy a Z cuz tires can't be rotated and are too expensive. Or because VLSD needs maintaining and insurance is high. To each his own.

Maybe I'm overreaching with this one but it would be amazing if the 6c was the Giulia coupe about to be displayed in Geneva. If the car on this thread is the Giulia coupe? Goodbye Z35. I won't waste my time buying a short Q60.... I really thought Nissan was making us wait to do more than just the same old shyt...

Alfa Romeo 6C Disco Volante Design Study Is An Italian Beauty
Alfa Romeo 6c design study. One of them is a hatch.... maybe a hatch sports car? Cuz the design study looks hella aggressive. Two specialty cars as well. Yessss!!!

Dreams May Actually Come True?
https://carbuzz.com/news/alfa-romeo-...-jaguar-f-type
As a potential Jaguar F-Type competitor. Having driven the Giulia, i don't doubt this car would be king of the segment.

I’ll take three. Red, black and blue. My assistant will settle the bill.

The latest reports all trace back to a comment from Eduard Pogea, a respected German tuner, who apparently spoke with this "reliable source" and got the scoop. It's been circulating around the internet for a few days now.
Problem I have, is getting my head around the words "reliable", "information", and "Alfa Romeo" all being used in the same sentence! The 6C has long been rumoured (since 2014 at least), and most peg it as coming in as a sportier version of the Maserati Alfieri. That car has been shown for 5 years now, but production is delayed to 2020 according to latest reports. This would mesh with the latest rumour, that a 6C would also come out in 2020. AFAIK, the Alfieri was developed independently of the Giorgio platform that underpins Giulia and Stelvio. Whether Masterati ditches their car's design in favour of adopting cousin Alfa's platform or not, I wouldn't know. If they do, then it will not have the carbon fibre structure that makes the 4C such a lightweight. Instead, it will be a sexy, bulky GT car in line with the hefty Giulia. Still, stick a good drive train in, and proper suspension, and it will be sharp. But look for it to cost north of US$100,000. There is no reason to come in lighter. |

The 6C is strictly a “special” model with production set to be capped to just a few thousand. Good luck getting your hands on one of them. Looks like a sharp car and nice power to boot.

Alfa cannot survive on unprofitable limited run cars. And they cannot price them high enough to make money on short runs. If is cousin to Alfieri as has been indicated for 5 years, then there is no reason to limit its numbers. Although the market will do that to some extent. But if Alfa is to go after the 911 market, they can’t just play peek-and-tease. There has alwasy been a spot for a “specialty” car in the Alfa Romeo product plan. Pretty sure that this will be the car. But “specialty” does not ot itself imply a limited run. All Alfa “C” cars have been “special”. |

They have long wheelbase versions of the Giulia and Stelvio planned, the smaller SUV "Tonale" just released, a larger SUV, and the 8C. There will be another specialty car, announced as the GTV (also has a special place in Alfa history). Also, electrification of several of the products. Judging by the fact they trademarked the name "Giulietta" in the USA last year and there are two teams running that car in the US in road series right now, I would guess that it will also make it to these shores in mid-model-refresh form in the next year or two. This is official - from last summer's FCA AGM. |

There's two types of rumors. One you know is a pipe dream. Like the RX9 cuz there's no proof a 13x has passed emissions. Then you have rumors based on existing platforms and engine options. This rumor falls into the latter. So I follow for the sheer joy of hope. As with the c8. Which everyone was telling me it was BS.
