Love the color and if it wasn't for the fact that Corvettes are a 'dime a dozen' around KC, I'd get one.

If Nissan doesn't do a new Z, then I'll keep the one I have and get a Cayman S. Might as well have 2 impractical cars for driving in snow....

What the heck...Im even proud to say I drive a fake Nismo. Lol
Yes sir I really do.

Op congratulations!!!...your living my dream.

Just waiting for the stars and moon to line up in the right direction I would go the same route.
But I would still keep my fake nismo and get a fake Z06(GS)

Then i would have 2 fake sports cars! Lol
Check this out:

Car and Driver lightning lap Grand Sport, 911 GT3 and McLaren 570-all run 2.47's - CorvetteForum - Chevrolet Corvette Forum Discussion

From that thread and the image on it that showed all the top car's standings in the Lightning Lap:

Quote:
Man you look the list of cars that the GS has beat and is pretty incredible. Better times than the Audi R8, Nissan GTR, 911 Turbo, BMW M4 GTS, Mercedes Benz AMG GT, Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, Mclaren 570S and it also beat the New Acura NSX easily by 3 seconds. I am pretty sure that even the new MB AMG GT-R is going to have a hard time going below 2:47
It's not a "fake" anything (and I know you weren't agreeing with people who try to denigrate it as such). it's all the good stuff from the Z06 except the overheating LT4/supercharger.

That car looks very FRESH! Can you get the clear tails on the grand sport? Do you feel at least some feedback since the car is so low? I'm going for a test drive this evening.

I think there are third-party places to get the clear lenses - I don't think a GS can be ordered with them (just Z06).

The feedback/handling are awesome. This car is like a 370Z turned up to 11. More power, more grip, more features.

- Three-setting heated seats

- Three-setting cooled/ventilated seats

- Seat memory (2) plus you can press a button for exiting the car which moves things out of the way (I don't use it but I imagine for some larger folks it's a bonus)

- Actual driving modes that alter everything about the car; throttle response, steering effort, gauge displays, traction characteristics, exhaust sound, suspension settings

- Magnetic shocks that adjust hundreds or thousands of times/per second based on road conditions and on selected driving mode

- Removeable roof

I test drove some Porsches including a Cayman S, regular Cayman and Boxsters. I liked the solid feel and handling of all of the, but the fact they have no torque and you need to wring its neck to get something out of it turned me off. Add in the expensive maintenance and repairs and I was out.

I did the test drive on the Z06. It was a very short drive unfortunately. Just enough to take some aggressive turns, a few hard accelerations and some hard braking.

All I can say is... WOW!!! What an emotional car!!
Its TRULY amazing. I think the Z06 May possibly even be overkill. I wanted to test drive the GS but they were in the process of selling the one they had.

Stylistically, the front and back are crazy!!! From the side. I think it needs a Lil bit more but irs still nice. Inside. I have mixed feelings. After sitting in the camaro and turning it on I felt the camaro looked better inside. But I wish the secret cubby behind the screen existed in the camaro. The fit and finish are similar but the camaro has some more exposed cheaper looking plastics. I think the $20,000 discount made the corvette perfect. But it was in reality a $15,000 discount. The price was jacked up a Lil and discounted. But even at $15,000. It's an insane deal.

The question is. Is it so good I'm willing to pay $85,000 for it?

My answer is YES!!! And NO!!! I think it's totally worth it and it's a hundred times better than my Z when it was stock. 10X better in one aspect with my mods. In another. The Z still has a special character to it that's hard to let go of. Not that I was willing to trade. But I definitely would want to at minimum, drive the ZL 1 before dedicating myself.

With cars like the Guilia Quadrofoglio, The Porsche 911 GTS and possibly, the Z35. It's still hard for me to pull the trigger.

I DONT WANT TO BE TRADING CARS and losing money cuz I bought one thing then wanted the other. I intend on test driving the Q60S next.

The corvette is amazing. The only advantage the Z has is its overall dimensions and feel in the corners at least on the street. I'm sure it ALL changes on a track. But I could be saying that due to the minimalistic seat time I had... Corvette width is something I need to adjust to and may have impeded my critique with such little time. I'm blown away though.

The corvette is amazing.
