2017 NISMO Sentra

2017 Nissan Sentra Nismo | Nissan USA

Coming January 2017... what do you guys think, anyone interested in one?

BlackZeda 11-15-2016 07:16 PM

If you are in the market for a Sentra, you might as well make it a NISMO.

I am not in the market for a Sentra.

MarksZ34 11-15-2016 07:23 PM

Not interested but I think it insults the owners of newer nismos since it shares a little too much with the red accents and front canards.

Nissan strives to make the rest of their car line more robust and performance oriented with new higher hp nismo versions like the juke and now sentra but the 370 platform & its nismo edition continue to languish with age!

I've got a 15 Sentra as my DD, maybe I'll upgrade to the Nismo and throw those seats in my Z :)

This car is a fvcking joke, and I'm about to tell you all why.

The only saving grace behind this car is the fact that it's offered with a manual. That's it, and even that feature is about four model years too late in the grand scheme of the landscape in which the Sentra competes. The Mazda 3, Ford Focus, and Honda Civic can all be had in manual guise. BUT - that 6 speed manual is cool if it's mated to a limited slip differential (even a viscuous one!) inside its transaxle, but it's not. HELLO UNDERSTEER. Understeer that doesn't even have to be as bad as it normally is in FWD cars with decent torque.

SPEAKING OF TORQUE... 177 lb-ft? In a 3000lb Sentra? What fvcking year is this?

This car will be $25k. What does it do better than a Subaru WRX, a Civic Si, or a Focus ST? FVCKING NOTHING. Not a goddamn thing.

Kill the NISMO brand, Nissan. You're only using it as an excuse to say you provided **** people wanted in their cars that should be equipped at lower trim levels and putting red striping on it. Stick to your beloved crossovers. The 370Z is 98 fvcking years old already, but you're busy putting 90s power in your subcompact sedan and calling it a performance model. Just fvck off and die.

Nissan should only be using Nismo for the Z and GTR and only if it amounts to more than an appearance package.

Just curious, why do you like it? For the price, you could get something better.

Yeah, and I still would've bought a GSR Integra or GSX Eclipse over the Nismo Sentra.
