My Z06 just got totaled. :(
Well, the title says it all. I was coming home from a night out at the bars and stuff... It was actually a good night. I met up with some friends, and we had a ****ing good time.
Anyway, 2:10am, I'm heading through the White Oak / Victory intersection and I see a cross over heading very fast from the left, not stopping. I slammed my breaks, but it was too late. I got hit from the side. We're not sure if she was asleep at the wheel, but she had no idea what happened. Well, she didn't have a license, but somehow she had insurance. Have no idea if it's real or not, but she was crying and I was staying as calm as possible. Cops asked me if I'd been drinking, I said yeah, but after the field sobriety tests and the breathalyser, I passed with flying colors. So, the damage is total. The entire front end of my car is tweaked off to the right side of the car by about 2-3 inches. Frame is totally tweaked. The driver's side front wheel was only being held on by the steering rack and sway bar; control arms and a-arms were snapped completely. Both air-bags deployed which is interesting cause I didn't even see it happen, but noticed it when I was trying to get out of the car. (Smelled like the car was on fire thanks to the air bags...) And the driver's side door is completely off the frame, could only open the door by the inside. Not sure what the outside panel is hanging on by. OK... Time for the pics: Damage to her Toyota:

Glad to she didn't hit you square in the door, you might not be here to tell the tale.
I foresee a nice replacement vehicle in your future. The bright side? Your ID is now 100% legit, Crash!

Yeah. The hit was only 2 inches from my door. You guys are right, if I didn't hit my brakes as soon as I did, I may have been in the hospital right now.
I don't think they checked her for alcohol, but she didn't look like she was under anything. (But who am I to judge, right?) Either way, we think she fell asleep at the wheel. No skid marks at all from her car and she doesn't recall anything that happened. My nick name has been Crash since 2004. This is the 8th one since. Only 2 were my fault. The rest were people hitting me. I got my nick name running into a mountain side while driving too fast through the canyons. Oh well. LOL Corvettes have great crash ratings. So I'll likely get another. The pictures really don't do the damage justice believe it or not... It took them a good hour to get everything out of the street. Lots and lots of big pieces of car all over the road. When my car was finally on the flat bed, there was a LOT of misc parts from under the hood all over the floor where my car was.

Dude this is awful. I'm glad you're okay though. You still might want to get yourself checked out though if you haven't already.

I love it when crap cars wreck nice cars.
Glad to hear you're ok. Hope someone pays for a nice new car for you. Gotta love driving in the Valley!
