Default Best *sounding* cars of all time

We were talking exhaust sounds on the exhaust thread. Since I first heard the song of a V12 250GTO, sound is one of my favorite aspects of an automobile, so I thought I'd open it up to the best of all time.

My personal favorites:

V12 – Bizzarini’s V12, in top sonic form in the countach QV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZTYm...om=PL&index=11
Of course, the original testarossa with that 250 engine is as close to sonic Nirvana as it gets: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yu-FZ...eature=related
And the DBS gets an honorable mention: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zeae...embedded#at=35

V10 – The Carrera GT wins, hands down: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vE_WqdKbTvY (skip to 1:50)
Honorable mention - Viper V10 with Corsa exhaust: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6WF8...layer_embedded
The LFA has to get a nod: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrdskadbW54

V8:
None of Ferrari's V8s has touched the sound of the five-valve 355: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhPFubhO0qA (make sure to catch (0:55) & http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aR_kz...eature=related
The related 8C Competizione is also excellent: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8br0B...eature=related
Best new American V8 - ZR1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObFBtVbe-ug (skip to 1:00) & http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7S7xbxuaXrA (great bit at 1:25)
Best old American - 427 Cobra: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0g49ygzXRns
V8 Vantage (epic): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBziXr9QaEU & http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJXUSrfc_PA
And it’s kind of a dweeby car, but the McLaren Merc has to be mentioned, as it simply sounds unreal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHGeZ45saKw (skip to 2:00)

The king of all, though, might just be the BRM v16: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBKUQ...eature=related (make sure to catch the bit at 1:00)

Feel free to post your favorite(s)...

The Pagani is awesome, but I don't understand it as the end-all-be-all - it's a merc V12, and in the R it just sounds like a race motor. Okay if you're into that, but not particularly musical.

Did you even listen to that BRM? The original Testa rossa?

Feel free to post a link to change my mind. I'm just not finding anything that spectacular...

These cars just give me goose bumps. Another that already mentioned that I agree with is the Carrera GT. Any F-Car sounds good, especially with a Tubi Exhaust The Pagani just has such a distinct I can never afford screech.

Carrera GT is probably my favorite engine note. A close second would be a Ferrari F50 with full Tubi exhaust

Nothing beats the Zonda R's sound on that clip from Monza. Simply the best...
