Next generation Juke built on modular chassis!!!
Next Nissan Juke to get new platform, hybrid option possible - Autoblog
If it's modular? This can also be the next gen Z chassis explaining why the grip Z concept looks a Z fvcked a Juke. Further emphasizing that the Z will probably be built on a new chassis? The modular chassis aspect is HUGE NEWS! I'd like to add the current June has a lot of inspiration from the current Z. Further making sense of this possible union. And they said the Z would be a family of cars. Maybe what they meant was it's chassis will be a new family of cars like the FM platform is. .I'm sure with a modular chassis u can make fwd, rwd, n awd cars... |
That's pretty cool. Great find! You could be right about the Juke sharing this new chassis with the next Z35.

If you remember in 2008, the 370z was marketed as the Nissan Z almost negating the 370 numbers which off the rip I felt a big change was coming next gen based off that alone. I'm really excited. News is slowly coming together. And remember in 2012 Nissan said that they were going to restructure the Nismo division. Make it more accessible for in-house mods. With a MODULAR chassis dedicated to Nissan I can see Nismo getting interesting Oh and with the chassis being modular it saves Nissan a boatloAd of money on R& D basically killing everyone's negativity on making a whole new platform just for the Z |

I really don't know about this. I'm sticking to my guns regarding the Z being another FM car.
If they go this route, the Z will become more of a Silvia-type car. A 4-cyl turbo is a near certainty here in this case. As far as the Z remaining a 1g car or better with this chassis? Absolutely not without SIGNIFICANT upgrades and reinforcements. That chassis is about as stiff as a slinky in every single production vehicle that uses it. My wife's Rogue creaks and twists backing out of the damn driveway. I guess we'll see... but if this is what they do, no dice with me. |
