Of course they are going to low-ball the hell out of a Japanese sports car. Personally, I wouldn't give them two cents for a Vette, ZO6 or not. The back ends of them are ugly, and the interior is absolutely hideous with very cheap looking materials used.
If I had a new ZO6 and base Z sitting in front of me, free for me to take, I'd gladly take the base Z every time. It's a hell of a lot better looking car inside and out. Again, all of this just my opinion, however many agree with me.

I don't pick a car strictly for performance. If that were the case, I'd be driving around in a new Mustang GT right now instead of the Z. But again, that car is good looking on the outside but cheap and ugly on the inside, hence why I chose the base Z. And I chose the base Z over the Sport because I didn't want the 19" Rays, the rear spoiler, or any of that electronic noise cancelling/piped in exhaust sound crap that comes standard on the Sport. Oh, and I certainly don't need a tiny display that tells me what gear I'm in. That's just totally useless. I'm not going to pay for stuff I don't want. The only thing the Sport has going for it is the larger brakes and VLSD. But for $500 I can have just as good brakes if not better with slotted rotors and carbon pads. The diff (if I decide to upgrade it), another $1500 installed. Again, it's all personal preference. If someone wants to be a Vette or a Mustang, go right ahead. It's your money and what you like. No problem with that at all.
