You guys are smoking crack. No Supra for you. IF it does come out, it will be like Honda's NSX, all the hype for years and when it finally makes it everyone was saying whatever. Supra's were not that big of a deal in the 90's. The Nissan 300zxtt was. Everybody talked about that car, not the Supra.

While it would take the 300ZX TT, the MKIV would have its a55 handed to it by an NSX or other true supercar of the era. Not saying it was a bad car - mainly because it was a great car. Will the new one live up to the legacy? Depends on what auto "journalist" you care to read when it eventually hits the ground. Most of them don't know sh!t from putty anyway, so I guess somebody here will just have to buy one and tell us all! ![]() |

![]() Not knocking what Toyota did with that car, but pumping up a version of a street car does not really make it a "supercar" in my opinion. That was the terminology I was objecting to. Since one man's supercar is another's sports car, it's all good. |

Did Toyota run the Supra in the IMSA series. NO!!!! Super car. LOL, No where close. The Supra didn't become popular until Fast and Furious. I like Supra's, they were just not all that back in the day.

When they were in showrooms, they were cool but not the world-beaters people think they were. It took the aftermarket a few years to catch up and make them the Supra we think of today. Plus, they were expensive as hell new. They did get the hardcore domestic guys to start considering imports, though.

Not true, when I had my FD3S in the mid-late 90's going to NJ Englishtown Racway the Supra was already dominating import drag 3/4 mile drag racing pushing over 800hp. Then again you were probably drinking from a baby bottle and craping in diapers in the late to mid 1990's Lol

In my neighborhood. Supra and Celica were super popular since they were the hatchbacks. I would call them the 2nd most popular car to Puerto Ricans before the KING of imports to our people. As were the rwd corolla, when they were boxy. 240z, starion conquest, and then to the average Puerto Rican. The KING of all these cars is the Mazda Rx7. They've been popular on the island and in NYC as long as I can remember. Way before F&F. But different cultures respect different things at different intervals.
