Yep, pretty much. I have also read that the test car sounded like it it was a hybrid.

the front looks exactly like the 90s supra, just modernized. Kool You see FRS/FT1 & original supra in this car.

FYI scion is dead, it s a badged a Toyota gt86 now. I like the front ft1 design kept, but don't like the rear quarter panel of the gt86, a lesser car. Cant judge it yet until I see the production concept, but looks good.

It would make the most sense for them to try and compete with the Z35 than try to play in GT-R territory. Pricing between the two is possible, but that's a biiiig gulf.

At first glance the rear reminds me of the Star wars "Storm Troopers" helmet.

The whining and gnashing of teeth has begun because the Supra may have a hybrid drivetrain (option). Yeah, it would really suck to be stuck with all that instant torque and run the same type of power plant that those slow F1 and Le Mans cars do.

I think they are still testing the hybrid version...it sounds like theres almost no exhaust note. Reminds me of the sound of a hyundia sonata turbo....no exhaust note until you get to peek RPMs but its obvious theres a little something going on under the hood.

At least Toyota is letting us see something. We know a Supra is coming which is more than I can say for the Z35.

I don't care they make a hybrid as long as there's a powerful gas engine option. The 86 and supra are alive. That's great. 2 affordable coupes. Nissan could've been champions by bringing the Silvia or IDX to destroy the 86 and the Z as a supra killer. But Nissan is scared to make sports cars

Well, Toyota has been out of the big sports car seen for 15 years so yeah they are doing something, as for the supra being affordable, I doubt it. If it stays mid 50-60 k than yeah for its performance and tech its a killer sports car.
