'A Supra should be lighter than it’s rivals. Personally speaking, my favourite Porsche is the Boxster and Cayman, although I am a little disappointed with the four-cylinder engine. The Cayman helps a lot of us here to make a sports car.' :excited: :excited: :excited:

MR2, GT86, Supra: Toyota's three-strong sports car lineup is coming | Evo

back to the drawing board with that MR2. I guess the demographic is women and flamboyant gay men. They seem to be going for the early 2000s gen rather than the 90's

I am happy to hear they are separated the GT86 and the supra. Although, I dont like hearing them talk about them in comparisons. Leads me to believe they may have some similarities for some reason.

Well this is neither a GT86 or an MR2 thread, which I have no interest in either. They are speaking about how the Supra will be similar in that it will be lightweight with a low center of gravity which I am fully behind. Why would they make a GT86 and a Supra without any significant distinction? That doesn't make any financial sense especially since the Supra is being co-developed with BMW. Your cynicism is not appreciated and who gives a crap about the MR2.

Again, this is not the GT86 or MR2 thread. I am pretty sure that no one in this forum is in the market for either.

These spy shots are getting me all excited...mostly because the even with the massive amount of camo panels covering it, the front and back ends reveal the aspects of the FT-1 that I like the most. See all the rivets? Those are panels covering the sexiness underneath them. It looks like the same size and proportions as a Z which means it has to be a true sports car layout.

Definition of camouflage
1:* the disguising especially of military equipment or installations with paint, nets, or foliage; also :* the disguise so applied
2
a:* concealment by means of disguise The rabbit's white fur acts as camouflage in the snow.
b:* behavior or artifice (see artifice 2) designed to deceive or hide The hypocrite hid behind a camouflage of righteous indignation.

2019 Toyota Supra Spied Up Close And Personal

kenchan 03-19-2017 06:52 AM

i hope dey put some real tires on dere and not dat skinny flimsy wheel/tire set like da one they put on their lex RC.. :ugh:

YYZ 03-19-2017 08:29 AM

I just can't help but wonder. What if the current Z design was never produced by Nissan and Toyota used the design as the new Supra? Would they call it dated?

i think they would put sharper lines on the front bumper (like the current nismo) and sides, but besides this i dont think the Z's styling looks too dated..yet. the roofline is still modern so are the base sport wheels 09-12' and nismo wheels.

i never liked da 13+ base Z's front bumper and tornado wheels (including da 18's) so those would not make da cut. ;)

Agreed, the 370z still looks better than some newer cars today at any price range. Cleaning my z today and that rear quarter panel never gets old starring at it:yum:
