Love my Nissan 370Z, but . . . Tacoma. Plain and simple. Read some comparos.

Yeah, though they don't do the extended-cab version - just standard and duad. =/ghey/=

I like extended cab because it lets me put my seat where I want it, and it gives me a bit of internal storage.

I don't like the quadcabs because if that's what I wanted, I'd just get an SUV and a small flatbed trailes and be able to haul more crap.

That, and Toyota is pretty arrogant with their pricing, their dealers are even worse. On top of that, the ones I've called have added pinstripes and other crap I don't want to pay for, but in order to buy the vehicle...guess what? You have to - or, they "offer" to bring one in that hasn't had crap done, but it'd cost you the same either way....that kind of BS.

I have to agree about Toyota dealers. The ones in this area are total douches.

The Tacoma comes in all 3 door configurations. The extended cab is called Access Cab. When I went truck shopping, I wanted a Tacoma but there were no financing or incentive deals on them at the time. Toyota was pushing the full size so I ended up with a Tundra for around the same payments. It's a great truck, I'd own another one.

i share a Nismo frontier with my dad in the winter months so i dont have to drive my car in bad weather, we bought it used 2 years ago. its not, only problem we had is the heater blows cold air when the car isnt moving for some reason...the battery cable came disconnected a time or two and those fold down little seats in the back are useless im 5' 7" and i cant even fit back there. but all it all it does to job

Nissan owns off-road racing with their trucks. If that matters.....

I chose the Tacoma as well. I have a quad cab. I didn't have any problems getting the price I wanted, 25k flat for quad cab long bed 0 miles fully loaded minus 4wd.

Default Good Service From 2001

I bought a manual shift-5 speed, 4WD Frontier, supercharged, king cab in 2001 and it has given me very good service. I would imagine there is even better quality in the new Frontiers.

I have the Xterra, which is on the same platform and I love it. plenty of power, decent handling for an SUV, and I get close to 20MPG. When they switched to the 4.0 in 2005, it became a much better truck than before (longer wheel base, 4 wheel disc brakes, and a hell of a lot more power!)

The new Frontier's are definitely good trucks. They have some flair, good reliability..

..and they get a whole lot funner if you mod them.

Supercharger anyone?

I had a 06 Tacoma X-Runner, great truck. However that 4.0 V6 was a gas seeping hog.

However, I like the style of the base Frontier better.

According to CR they're very reliable, if it's of any value.
