2017 Audi TT RS

I suppose it looks good enough, but the appeal to me is an AWD 5-cylinder that may be a great DD to complement my Z.

2017 Audi TT RS arrives with 400 horsepower

$75K though...

75K for original R8 performance that has a price tag of 140k......not too bad of a deal.

however 75K is a 2015 GT-R with a few miles on it.

two different types of cars even though both are boosted and AWD. about 600 lbs difference too lol

Always loved this car. This latest generation simply BAD ***!!! Hand an M its *** with a MUCH better interior. Wish I could afford it.

TT styling has always been an issue for me. It looks like a Porsche 911 and a VW Beetle fvcked and had a deformed baby as a result of inbreeding. It can't escape boring to me but I like the stats. A Q60 awd with 400hp will start at $51k and the infinit will probably be lighter.

I agree with you until the end. no way in hell the Q60 will be lighter. the TT is coming in tipping the scales at 3175lbs. the Q60 will be heavier I would place my guess that the lightest would be 3300lbs.

I'm thinking 3,400-3,500lbs for the Q

Oh OK.... I thought the TT's were heavier than that for some reason. That's pretty light. Too Bad it's FWD biased.

Yea I saw on the Audi press release its 1440kg which is impressive. Didn't do a conversion on the actual dimension but I'm assuming it's smaller in general than the Q is/will be. Engines are almost on par to be identical power wise given the dyno charts and numbers listed by both.

Guess it'll come down to suspension details to determine better handling.

All that being said it gives me hope that the next Z (if made) could be more like the TT in weight/power with a sexier exterior. I doubt the Z will have the interior of the TT RS though. It's pretty sexy from the press photos.

If they hadn't squared a lot of aspects of the TT then I agree, but I think they have made enough improvements to where it looks acceptable. The only other choices I have in AWD performance cars go from uglier to hideous unless I want to spend $100K+ on something exotic, but then it would be stupid to drive that in the winter as a DD AND keep the Z.

$75k is a lot of coin for a FWD bias AWD, acceptable looking car. But that's just me.... That's why I've been taking my time figuring out. I don't want to have buyers remorse.

We have a styling issue this generation. Cars either look too bland, too outrageous Jr look outdated.

We need some sharp angles mixed with semi classic lines. That's a hard mix to find. The 90's really was a styling golden era for imports.

there's no center diff adjustment? dat sucks..

MagmaRed370z 04-27-2016 02:15 PM

Don't like the rims, overall it looks great. I wish I could have it for a daily lol

sunkist350z 04-27-2016 06:07 PM

Yeah, they look like crap. I would have to budget in a set of new rims.

I am biased, but nothing looks as good as a the Z...well nothing that isn't astronomically expensive.
