I actually did put tape on the template, i wasnt too sure how the fitment was going to be, so it took a long time but well worth it.

i swapped to the stock enkei's on my STI today and gave it a wash. i have fans running in the garage for 4hrs now. i cant run my dehumidifier yet as temp is too cold at 50F.. thing will freeze.
will do the first detail sunday. mainly want to rid the residue from the protective film on the roof.. car has a faint line where the border was. going to use Griot's One-Step Sealant on the top surfaces and the rear bumper/trunk/wing. the other panels not sure if i'm going to use any special sealant besides the Prima Hydro i've been using after each wash. thing is very strong for a mist and wipe. will do a light check for any swirls and decide to polish it or put some glaze. will do a quick PDR on the driver door where noone can see but i can see a very minor ding about a size of a pea. yah, i have professional training in PDR. |

So spent a good sat afternoon and this am detailing the STI. mang this car has pretty severe case of orange peel. not dat i polished it all out since i plan to keep the car for 7-8yrs, i want to keep the clear as thick as possible for now.
i clayed and lightly polished the top surfaces as it had some swirls from the dealer.. applied polymer and cured it over night. this am finished off with some spray carnauba. looks great. but i honestly feel this car looks better kinda dirty.. |

Question for you two, which Subaru forums do you use if anything? I just go to that NASIOC or whatever forum but there are very few guys in Florida which is VERY strange so I am guessing I am missing the big forum? Were 2 weeks away from the car show, just waiting to see what is announced!

I thought there was an STI forum where I got some info about Cobb's AccessPort. But besides this I've not registered or really spent time visiting a forum. I just ran a search and where ever Google took me was where I read. Lol.

u guys ever think about getting the rear fogs for the rear valance (diffuser)?
i think i want to get one but dont want it wired up to the brake lights. i want functionality as a fog lamp, so i'd like to get a rocker (or push) to fill one of the blanks under the cluster. anyone know where i can get a nice oem looking switch that fits the blanks? preferably one dat has a fog lamp icon..but it doesnt need to have the icon. |

have u guys unplugged the resistor for the DRL? i hate DRL and kinda kicking myself for not undoing dat plug under the passenger side headlamp while i had the car on ramps while installing the splitter the other week. i read it's easy access from the fog lamp service access on the bottom.
i suppose i can make a re-attempt when i decide if i want to do the cobb intake+accessport.. or just wait till oil change. |
