I was anti-overengineering, you were pro...

My point was about vehicles losing their soul for accuracy. You claimed sports will still be fun based on the power levels we will achieve. You agreed to disagree.

4 years later, your feedback is coming from bikes. Which is great. I used to ride off road bikes in PR many moons ago. So I feel you but...

SPORTS CARS are amazing when done right.
We need a Alfa 4c performance clone in more sports cars, with the option of a manual. That shouldn't be hard.
Haha! It's not that at all. I've just decided that, for the money, I'd rather buy a bike! They are so much more economical. I paid $2000 for my first bike and have had more fun on it than any of my other cars combined. Next year I might spend $5-10k and buy another bike, and have even more fun.

I still love a "over-engineered" Porsche 911, I just don't give enough ***** to pay for one! It's a taste change, and proves nothing!

I view cars now less as tools for fun and more as just tools. I still like them and I still get enjoyment from them, but after discovering the two-wheeled world everything has changed. Driving a car, no matter how good, just doesn't even come close to the excitement of riding. It's visceral, man. You're so exposed to... everything.

I dig bikes but i'll probably never own one. I have an issue with high speed lol

also I've grown up around bikes/bikers through my dad and his friends and it's not the issue of the bike being dangerous. it's the fact that most drivers on the road are idiots.

Isn't that the truth. You pick up on a lot more idiocy when you're riding. It can get exciting for sure!

I think you are the first case of suffering from a "vehicular identity crisis"! LMFAO

Nah, man, I'm in a good spot right now when you think about it. I have a modest sports car and sport sedan. Both are fun to drive and relatively economical. Then I have my two bikes, which are just fun on a completely different level... hard to describe. I get utility + fun from my cars, and then just outright fun from my bikes.

It's just safe to say that, since entering the two-wheeled realm, my lust for really expensive cars has waned. That's a good thing, I think. I save money in the long run, although I suppose my risk of catastrophic injury is a bit higher now.

I'm F*ckin with you... I would like a hyubusa & I'm actually thinking about hot rodding a Can-am spyder I see potential in those to have something fun and unique. But I'll deal with that after I decide what to do about my next sports car. These companies are all taking SOOOOO long.
