If I go this route? I'm getting an aftermarket exhaust n the worlds loudest BOV's. So I'll solve that issue. But I really hate numb steering. Smh.

the reviews have been here and there which sucks for people like us who may be interested. not like a dealership will be too pleased if we went hard on a test drive to actually feel what it would be like to push it to that limit lol

I agree I would drop the cats, probably the mufflers too, and let the extra boost vent to atmos :driving:

however........I don't know why but I'm still holding on to the slight bit of hope of a new Z. because IF they make one it'll be the same weight or less than the M@ with more HP and just 10-15ft/lbs less torque. also I think it'll look much better than the M2. I do like the look of the M2 I just think a Z if styled correctly is going to be better.

I have my Z for my sports application thank you very much.

OK... Well I only asked cuz you said you'd take this car in AWD. This isn't the 235i M-Sport, this is "The M2"

It's true, that BMW as a whole company, sucks, but this particular model seems to be a benchmark model, though, I'll reserve judgement till I test drive one. Obviously almost all of us have Z's here and love them. In my case I'm not looking to replace a Z. I'm looking to add to a Z.

I wasn't asking to rustle your Jimmie's. I was just curious why an AWD M? That in reality, having driven an E46 would completely suck. But yeah, you're on the right track with those other cars you like. Audi, and such. Or you have the 335xi M sport. I don't know what your budget is but I think the jaguar XE and F-Pace would be some hot looking alternatives.

Good luck on your search bruh.

We're in the same boat, I'm giving Nissan till the end of this year to have DIRECT NEWS about the Z. The Q60 coupe is on my list. I just want to see other colors and variations. I intend to test drive that this winter. They style is growing on me. They've taken some good camera angles as of late.

I'm dying for another Z with hydraulic steering and an improvement in tightness at TDC. The Z in my opinion is uneclipseable when you're talking handling to feedback ratio for the money. A modifiable turbo Z gets me horny. And pics of a car version grip Z makes me stroke into orgasm. The next gen Z is it for me. Strongly considering trading mine in for a silver nismo, and doing n/a mods like new plenum, camshafts, short tube headers and a meisterschaft axle back. See if I could crank out a straight 400hp in NA mods on a Nismo, to compliment a turbo nismo Z35

Just a thought I've been toying with. I originally wanted a turbo kit on my car but then I thought. An extra 180lbs on an already heavy front? Naaah

for the money you need to get to 400 NA HP I'd rather go boost.

also the Q60 is going to be overpriced. a Q50 AWD 3.0T 400 red sport with tech option is 60k or 58k for RWD. for that money I would rather have the BMW M2 or something else. the Q50 hasn't grown on me and the Q60 will easily be 60k as well which for that price you can have a Z51 C7 or a very used GT-R.

I would have to drive them back to back. The Q60 should be a little lighter than the M2 and have 30 more hp. It may have Z like driving dynamics at that weight and power level. But the M2 has DCT which makes it a more compelling offer, plus the rarity of an M car. But we'll see.

I know getting in cams and getting the right tune will be halfway to a turbo in terms of money. But you're talking 180lbs to the front of the car. Plus having to bulk up the AT to handle turbo power which nod throws the cost higher for the turbo. The NA set up will last longer in reliability and hopefully I'll have the Z35 to mod the stock turbos to.

think it'll come down to the price whenever it's announced for the Q60.

if it drives well and is lighter/more power than an M2 then its a good choice. however if it's around the price I think it'll be I'd rather own a Z51 Vette.

I really wish Nissan would just spill the beans already about another Z

I am in the same boat...I test drove the M4 in MT and AT, which solidified my commitment to keeping my Z and looking for an AWD for the winter. Every little mod I have done to the Z since then has only strengthened my love for it.

No rustled Jimmy...just having a conversation about cars, which I appreciate your comments.

Since I have had no problems (because of my current situation) using my Z as a DD even in the winter I am in no rush to spend a load of money on a new car, but when I do I think the Audi TT RS or VW Golf R400 (if that happens in the US) might be on my radar in terms of price and capability.

Same here... no rush for me either. I just want to expand the garage so I can switch up driving experiences. But I want a car leaning toward traditional sports car road manners. So I'm taking my sweet time to make the right purchase/s

Strangely, all of these gushing reviews of the M2 are really turning me off of it. I remember just a few months ago how awesome the M3/4 was and all of a sudden it is complete garbage compared to the M2. It seems there are so many better options out there.

The proof is in the test drive. I hope I can find a tester.

Electronic steering is usually the turn off.

Are these out yet? I SWEAR I saw one my way to work this morning.

I see a M4s and M3s here in Germany on a daily basis, but haven't seen an M2 in person. Has anyone driven both an M2 and M4? I'm really curious to see whether the M4 is worth the extra money compared to the M2.
