I could really give a s**t about BMW's "M heritage" since they have sullied it with all their recent offerings (an "M" SUV!). I just want a performance winter car which seems Audi, VW, Ford and Subaru seem capable to offer, whereas BMW are apparently falling behind Chevy in RWD performance. I have my Z for my sports application thank you very much.

welp the M2 has TQ stock but the HP numbers arent great lol
i think something is wrong here..... 290whp/350wtq on a dynodynamic dyno i dont think that the car would lose 22% through a 6MT even something like my 7AT in the Z is only around 17-20% loss

Unlike the M4, this sounds good. I can only imagine what a properly tuned aftermarket exhaust would sound like. I just wish it looked just a little more exotic. A little more distinct. But it's a handsome vehicle, none the least.

I been watching different reviews. Some say it has ZERO FEEDBACK, others say steering is sublime.Some say it' sounds artificial, while others say it sounds better than a m4.
If I go this route? I'm getting an aftermarket exhaust n the worlds loudest BOV's. So I'll solve that issue. But I really hate numb steering. Smh.

I agree I would drop the cats, probably the mufflers too, and let the extra boost vent to atmos ![]() however........I don't know why but I'm still holding on to the slight bit of hope of a new Z. because IF they make one it'll be the same weight or less than the M@ with more HP and just 10-15ft/lbs less torque. also I think it'll look much better than the M2. I do like the look of the M2 I just think a Z if styled correctly is going to be better.

I'm dying for another Z with hydraulic steering and an improvement in tightness at TDC. The Z in my opinion is uneclipseable when you're talking handling to feedback ratio for the money. A modifiable turbo Z gets me horny. And pics of a car version grip Z makes me stroke into orgasm. The next gen Z is it for me. Strongly considering trading mine in for a silver nismo, and doing n/a mods like new plenum, camshafts, short tube headers and a meisterschaft axle back. See if I could crank out a straight 400hp in NA mods on a Nismo, to compliment a turbo nismo Z35 Just a thought I've been toying with. I originally wanted a turbo kit on my car but then I thought. An extra 180lbs on an already heavy front? Naaah

also the Q60 is going to be overpriced. a Q50 AWD 3.0T 400 red sport with tech option is 60k or 58k for RWD. for that money I would rather have the BMW M2 or something else. the Q50 hasn't grown on me and the Q60 will easily be 60k as well which for that price you can have a Z51 C7 or a very used GT-R.

I know getting in cams and getting the right tune will be halfway to a turbo in terms of money. But you're talking 180lbs to the front of the car. Plus having to bulk up the AT to handle turbo power which nod throws the cost higher for the turbo. The NA set up will last longer in reliability and hopefully I'll have the Z35 to mod the stock turbos to.

Strangely, all of these gushing reviews of the M2 are really turning me off of it. I remember just a few months ago how awesome the M3/4 was and all of a sudden it is complete garbage compared to the M2. It seems there are so many better options out there.
