Isn't that the truth. You pick up on a lot more idiocy when you're riding. It can get exciting for sure!

Nah, man, I'm in a good spot right now when you think about it. I have a modest sports car and sport sedan. Both are fun to drive and relatively economical. Then I have my two bikes, which are just fun on a completely different level... hard to describe. I get utility + fun from my cars, and then just outright fun from my bikes. It's just safe to say that, since entering the two-wheeled realm, my lust for really expensive cars has waned. That's a good thing, I think. I save money in the long run, although I suppose my risk of catastrophic injury is a bit higher now.

Looks horrible, not a fan of the styling, 51k for that thing? wtf? you'd have to like, give me the money to buy that, and then I'd sell it.

The "M" Option is very common and available for every single BMW model in Germany. For instance, a lowly 1992 530 had an "M" option from the dealer which included an upgraded steering wheel, suspension, badge, etc. The M2, on the other hand seems like a decent, but not not great, deal for under $60K with 370+ hp. I mean, it all depends on how much one is willing to pay for 20+ hp over a Nismo. I might still pick a Cayman S over an M2 though.

20 hp really doesn't mean much here. This car will probably dominate the Nismo, which at damn near 47k loaded is a ripoff.

A friend of mine who tracks a lot and is actually an instructor with a HPDE instructor said the m4 felt squishy and that the steering feel was horrible. He basically says the m4 sucks (current gen, not the older ones). Anyhow, I spec-ed out a m4 and ende up at 77k so a m2 would def be over 60k (DCT). I'm not a faa of the looks of the m2, though. I'm hoping the q60 coupe will be ood or the next Z will be. Steering feel is my biggest concern with the new cars though since they all seem to be going the electronic steering route.
