also I've grown up around bikes/bikers through my dad and his friends and it's not the issue of the bike being dangerous. it's the fact that most drivers on the road are idiots.

I view cars now less as tools for fun and more as just tools. I still like them and I still get enjoyment from them, but after discovering the two-wheeled world everything has changed. Driving a car, no matter how good, just doesn't even come close to the excitement of riding. It's visceral, man. You're so exposed to... everything.

It's just safe to say that, since entering the two-wheeled realm, my lust for really expensive cars has waned. That's a good thing, I think. I save money in the long run, although I suppose my risk of catastrophic injury is a bit higher now. :p
