Meanwhile it starts at $51k in the US market... no word (that I've seen yet) on planned production numbers.

sidenote: I don't agree with the super low production numbers for cars like this. doesn't make sense. make your money if there's demand. it's not a 3 million dollar hyper car that the likes of Ferrari make 5 of or something. that's a little different....it's a beefed up 235.

The more I see it, the more I like it, but unlike the M4, which would have replaced my Z, I am looking at the M2 as a complementary car for winter and more practical driving. So the price seems to be right, but they need to offer it in XDrive for me to even consider it. I would also get the automatic. So I guess I have to wait even longer to find out if I am even interested in it.
The more I see it the more I like it. It is much more sporty than the M4, which is just a bit too stretched out and when seeing them on the road they don't really get me too excited. |

Idk, at this point the amount of "M" models is kind of out of control. Is there really a need to have an M version of every car they make? It kind of detracts from the essence of what the car is to me.

regardless fo if you feel it's oversaturation or on the flip it's good to branch out I personally dig the M2. hell if the M4 wasn't the cost of a GT-R after you add a couple options that would be a nice car to have as well lol

Now the M-Sport line, as an M-Sport owner, is kind of silly. I wish they didn't have as much M branding on what really isn't an M car, but apparently it sells.

The M2 is different in that there is no sedan version of the model, meaning it is a pure sports coupe, and for me that makes it slightly more practical than my Z, plus it has a lot more zip than the 2-series. It looks cool too. This puts me in their target market (provided that they offer it in XDrive). |

BMW M2 Visualizer Shows Us Some of the M Performance Parts
From the article: You might consider that the €12,000 difference between the M2 and M4 might be justified, but then again, you don’t get as many carbon fiber parts on the new model as you do on its bigger brother. With the M Performance parts, you can make up for some of that ground but not to great lengths. Photos and article - BMW M2 Visualizer Shows Us Some of the M Performance Parts . |

With that being said, the M2 isn't even a sports car. You are talking me out of even considering it 😝 |

Ridiculous, I say! Edit: Oh and the M3 and M4 are "about the same," however the M3 is better because it looks better.

The M2 will probably be more of a sports car than our front-heavy dump truck of a 370Z.

Those air dams are ugly as f#ck
Are they going to fix that numb azz steering? What's the ride height going to be like? Are they lowering this thing to a respectable sports car height? Tired of cars labeled as sports cars feeling like conservative GT's.
