So I replaced the starter and it fixed the issue.. But there was some damage to some of the teeth on the flywheel. Although the car does turn on, every once in a while I can still hear where the worn tooth is at, I get a small hint of the old sound just not as severe. Seems like the new starter is catching the teeth pretty well but I don't suppose it'll be long before they wear out completely.. Maybe a year? More?
