F Type coupe or convertible? Personally on looks alone I would take the F Type coupe. Not to mention it is cheaper with similar HP, more torque, only at the cost of 500 lbs. Also for the price of the base 911, you can buy an F Type S which is a supercharged V6. I think either way my vote would go F Type but I am biased against the 911.
Also, however off topic it may be, before I spent $80k on a base 911 I would personally buy a Cayman GT4 for $85k |

WOW!! This is a toss up for me. I love both. I have yet to drive any but I can get a test drive if they run my credit. I think it would all come down to which one I can get the better deal for. Both are beast!

The F-Type looks much better (resembles a Z), but it is a Jaguar which I associate with unreliability. It is claimed that they have improved, but I wouldn't risk it.
The 911...enough said. Porsche all day. I would go for the Cayman GT4 as well though. |

neither.
if you're spending that much cash go get a GT-R. 2015's are going for low 80's right now.

The F-Type that the OP is speaking of is a MT, RWD sports car and is beautiful. The 911 is a legendary RWD, middish engine sports coupe that is iconic. The GT-R is AWD, AT only and IMO is hideous. Yes, looks are subjective, but to me there is not one good angle that is attractive. It is an example of function over form, and for something I would be driving on the street it doesn't do anything for me.
On a side note, I can just imagine how frustrated I would be driving a super fast vehicle like the GT-R, 911 GTS (or turbo) or Corvette. It is frustrating enough having to deal with other cars on the road in the relatively slow Z. For me, I think I would go with a boosted Z over anything ![]() |

so all your points about MT and RWD are void. now for dealing with fast cars when there's others on the road it's a simple solution......go around them. you have a functioning right foot I would assume so try and use it. boosted Z is a retarded alternative to those other choices. boosting an engine which is NA stock comes with headaches. ask anyone who's done it. it's rarely a smooth life afterwards. you give up a large percentage chance of having DD reliability which was the mentioned above I believe as a parameter.

As far as your "functioning right foot" comment...taking things personally? I have had two supercharged vehicles and they were suprisingly reliable. Not expecting that when boosting the Z, but I plan on getting another DD by then. But this isn't about me. |

Jags and 911s are beautiful cars. The GTR looks like a car designed completely by engineers. It's a technological marvel, but it's 7 kinds of ******* ugly.

beauty is subjective. engineering and technology is good if it works. performance and cost based the GT-R blows those two out of the water. ![]()

BTW, I'd probably go for the Jag F-Type Roadster.
