Your timing with this post is impeccable - you been following me around today or something?
I'm going to Infiniti this afternoon to check one out. It's highly likely that, because of my discount, a bit of negative equity in the Z, and the fact that a house purchase will need to happen in the next year or so, that a Q50S lease would be the perfect stop-gap provided I actually like the car. We shall see how the 7AT is in it. If it works out, then the one I would be getting is Malbec Black with stone interior and the performance wheel package (MY13+ 370Z Rays). Super sharp looking car - the complete other side of the more utilitarian STI. About $46k though. I'm curious to see how I feel about it compared to the STI as far as driving dynamics. (I'm probably the strangest dude ever in that I'm cross-shopping those two cars). The Q50 would be the only car I'd be prepared to make a concession for with respect to my manual transmission requirement, and that's mainly because I'm a fan of its powertrain and the fact that I would have to change nothing about the fluids and filters I buy and use. It would be very nice.

I am very interested in what you think of the handling, or more specifically, the steering
I drove my buddy's Q50S Hybrid and just felt disconnected. I don't think the extra hybrid weight was a factor, but maybe? His was an older model (first year I think). Overall, I cannot deny that it is a very nice vehicle (nothing like the Z).

Do you know if it had the deluxe touring package? That is the one that has steer-by-wire. The S-trim without the DTP is an electronically assisted hydraulic rack and should feel different.
Sadly, the one I'm testing today will have that **** in there. If I like it enough, I will still buy without. I do not like the idea of it and I have heard it does weird crap in cold weather. |

I sadly have no input, currently overseas and once my Z is paid off may look into the Q50, been watching a lot of reviews lately

Nissan is coming out with the Idx in 2016. I love the 510, maybe give it a look? it is a BRZ / FRS competitor

It is officially dead, sadly.
However, it would be cool if they brought the Pulsar over as a Sentra hatch and made the Nismo version to toss it up there with the Focus ST, GTI, upcoming Civic Type R, Golf R, STI, and all the other damn hot hatches that are making my purchase decision harder the longer I wait. That Focus RS looks like an absolute beast, and even has the same seats the 2015 Nismo Z has. |

I watched a youtube review with the full speced out version, sport model and it was impressive. I was impressed with the 360view display, awesome how it splices it together
