Worth of 04 Maxima SE 3.5, 195k miles, Leather
 

Guys I'm looking to sell my 2004 Maxima SE 3.5 with 195k miles, Leather interior. Just seeing how much it would be worth. I have a friend who offered me 1K for it. Seem like a good deal?

We test drove it, the motor and transmission are solid.

Here are a few problems:

1. 1 tire is worn out. Might be good to change all the tires.
2. Driver power seat doesn't work.
3. ABS doesn't work.

Things I've done:

1. Checked all fluids.
2. Changed motor oil.
3. Changed transmission fluid.

Depends how good of a friend he is and how quickly your willing to get rid of it, 1k seems slightly low but that's going off of prices in Chicago area

Many variables to factor in but if I was selling it id sit pretty at 2k negotiable, for a while and see what I could get.

Can someone explain how an 11 year old car that was close to 30k new is now 2k?

I've seen older honda civics go for 2-3x.

as a car dealer, i would value that vehicle at $500 trade in, $1500-$2500 private party sale. $2500 being the highest possible outcome, if you want to spend alot of time messing with it. id tell your friend $1500 and make it easy.

milage maybe?

older honda civics can be sold (stolen :ugh: ) for parts. demand is still pretty high.
