Dude wadds his C7….in a straight lime into trees…..
|
Don't be so quick to judge... I think we've all run our brand new car into a tree a time or two.
|
Maybe his camber Was off 2 degrees?
|
I don't see how people lose their cars in a straight dam line!!! I've seen vettes succumb to this several times and I just don't get it, along with Mustangs as well. These guys need to take there cars to an empty parking lot and really get to know the vehicle cause that's a tragedy to destroy and new ZO6 like that, SMFH.
|
Haven't been there yet... But who knows. Only wadded an older car. Twice.
|
Dang...so so sad..

"Right turn Clyde..."

wow another vet in the trees dang
|
Great comments y'all :rofl2:
But I agree with JC. I don't quite understand how you lose such control going straight. Back the f**k off if you start to slip :shakes head: |
"Oh, what the fukk?..." Exactly my first though too lol. Hope he wasn't hurt too bad, besides his pride.

Wow...straight line? I'm not going to judge, unless someone taught me how to drive it I'd probably end up in the bushes too.
|
Barely out of 2nd gear going what...................... maybe 40-50 mph? This M4 did almost the same thing with no tree to hit, but same result when the rear got away from him. I mean, I know ish happens, but I drive my Nismo and SRT8 like bats out of hell and have made the rears swing a lot more than these cars and I've never had a problem getting them back under control, but one thing Davey did say is important, I never let off, I keep the tires planted and start correcting.

This guy at :20 in... Good example. If the rears have already lost traction and you've got the engine wound up, when you lift completely off, the compression braking causes more or less the same effect as if you pulled the emergency brake on full-tilt - couple that with pitching all the weight onto the front wheels and a little counter-steering and bam, you just overcorrected into a curb (or tree, or a parked car...). :shakes head: |
Oh my goodness total embarrassmentioned for the bmw driver. Yet so educational for me!!!
|
Guess he was " IN IT TO WIN IT".... and he won a tree.
|
It justifies the idea that paddle shifters may be safer on high horsepower cars, because you can shift, with the security of holding on to the steering wheel.
The vid is somewhat comical. The car veers off so fast. Lol Real split second **** right there. Thank God he was ok.Otherwise not so funny. |

I get what you're saying though, you can lift before the car goes sideways much at all (and it is too late to lift) and you'll be OK. But if you decide to stay in it and the car ends up getting very sideways on you, it's not the best idea. I guess what I'm saying is, if you commit to staying in it, and then chicken out, you're gonna have a bad time. |
time to get some RE11's.

This is exactly what I think occured with those going off road in a straight line. |
I know this guy hes from san antonio and owns a water company. Car already fixed and back on the road due to insurance. He actually had another vette before this one.
