Which Sports car would you choose?
Just curious which way most Z buyers would sway...
|
It's not even a choice in my mind.
|
Sorry, none of the above.
|
I chose the GT-R only because I couldn't get the right 911 for under a $100k, although the 911 is my dream car. BUt if we are talking above 100k, 911 all the way...
|
A used 991 Turbo S is just under 100k.
|
Ummm, NONE of those cars you listed is a sports car :shakes head:
Here is the short list for TRUE sports cars: 1) Nissan 370Z 2) Porsche Cayman 3) BMW Z4 4) Chevy Corvette 5) Mazda Miata |
I chose the GTR just because the 911 with the options that I want (PDK and Sport Exhaust) is not available under 100K.

Then I vote: "Cars with 4 seats ("2+2") are freaking lame!"

i mean they're bringing back a 3.0L TT V6......the 300ZX had a 2+2 option lol |
The GTR over the Porch because it won't break

On a serious note; the "double-amputee/child seat" rear seats of the GT-R disgust me to the point where I would never consider one (hypothetical situation because I would never spend that much on a car). You would think that just by looking at them the GT-R would be the entry level sports sporty car and the Z would be the high performer. |
I'd go with the 911.

Holden Monaro ............. Chevy engined goodness
|
911. Last year they did a balls out 0 to 60 test, forgot which group. In any event, GTR did well, placing 2nd with like 6 hard launches before limp mode. Ferrari, lambo, Aston, all got two or three. 911 turbo s...they ran out of daylight after 50 plus, balls deep launches. No issues. Consistent 2.7 seconds. Insane.
