Wow, educate me. Where you getting that info???

dealer auction. GT-R's are hit or miss. some go for a bit more if its super low miles or they fall off the table in price if they have 10k or more on the clock. 2015s with 5k or less are hovering around 85k lately, black editions are 92-95k lately as well.

2014s are around 75-83K avg lately.

sidenote: i know a lot of dealerships were dropping 2015 prices big time recently and maybe back at it now with the 2016 already out. dealers should be around 85-90k themselves.

good job Porsche.

Bitching about a 6MT-only vehicle in today's world of "let the computers do everything for you"? :shakes head:

That being said, that PDK is one helluva tranny :yum:

this was my point and not the fact that the 6MT is an outdated piece of junk :tiphat:

Simple and outdated does not equal junk :tiphat:

But I don't want to turn this into another AT vs MT thread. We already have a really good one of those going

OP, I just did an oil and transmission fluid change for a local Z owner that drove a Cayman for a few days before eating the deposit and trading it for a 370Z :driving: It wasn't the GT4, of course.

I mean, come ON tho... a 911 starts where the GT-4 ends up (price wise).

But i do have to get my arse in a Cayman, to at least see what all this hubub is about.

Z-Girl, Follow this thread from Nagtroc.

I was on the fence of getting a new 14 last year for $84k from Portland, OR. But in my mind, I just couldn't justify spending that kind of money to drive that rocket ship on my tiny island.

Your way too late to get one....all the orders have been taken and the slots are all gone for the first batch. Now, people with less sense than money are dumping their year old Cayman GTS to get the GT4. GTS is a very good car in itself. I had my 997 C4S serviced at a local Porsche dealer, and we talked the GT4 and the allocations. All gone. High volume dealers got 4 slots, low volume only got 1 slot. Some got none at all. People are scouring the country to find slots. And they are paying big money without ever even seeing the car.

same thing happened with the first set of new vettes. I went down to the local chevy dealer with my pops to see if they were getting one and it was a secret target they had to hit for allocation. I guess my local chevy dealer was just off getting one since they really don't sell a lot of vettes but got lucky in some other lottery type deal and got one of the first batch in.

let's just say I was sick that day and went down to watch them unload and get to sit in it. was gonna drive it but there was 7" of snow falling at the time it got there lol

Sure can, I waited for a while till I could afford the 997.1 and they hit the slightly below 50K mark. THe MSRP on mine was 98K in 2007. Porsche claims they will make as many of the Cayman GT4 as they can sell. A limited option one should be affordable within 3 to 4 years or so. So far my 997.1 been very reliable and not all that expensive to keep running well. Long as you buy a good used one, they are fine.
